Though Maya possesses class, beauty, name, fame, riches, & has got Arjun's love, she finds a competitor in Saanjh which makes her insecure. I would like to add few more contrasts to your post.

Saanjh, though a middle-class girl, has got loving & supporting parents.

Maya does not have that. Her mother Jhanvi is so much engrossed in her lafdas that she never had time for her daughter.

Saanjh has a best friend. She was never isolated. No one has dumped her.

Maya has been betrayed by her own parents & friends, thereby isolating her.

This made her believe that she should not let her loved ones go. It all began with her mother Jhanvi. She does not mind Jhanvi going to the clubs and other places but she has only stopped her from meeting Ashwin who has given them nothing but pains, tortures and the public humiliation.

Maya had developed feelings for Arjun when he saved her from Ashwin. From then on, she began to feel that Saanjh is her rival as far as Arjun is concerned. The rest of them, I don't have to tell as they are already there in other posts.

I agree arjun is not that trustworthy. ..because maya herself was flabbergasted when arjun shooed away saanjh from her office and wedding and life... so doesn't it really prove that maya has to be insecure because the person she has eventually loved is not so much correct. ..and rather not be insecure of the other girl? Hasn't she till date understood that Saanjh will never come and take away arjun from her...because that's not even possible the love being one sided? On one hand you saying Maya should trust Arjun and on the other hand you saying that she should not marry Arjun? Lol

Arjun is the only one who has touched Maya's heart, she is madly in love with him and so is Arjun. But Arjun is very emotional guy. He can easily be influenced by people under emotions.

I have wrote all the points above on why Maya feels insecure...

The thing is after whatever tamasha/nautanki happened on Maya's marriage day forget Maya no Normal girl will be able to trust Saanjh.

yes I like this post. Neatly written. But all I feel is at all if she has to be insecure, it has to be of Arjun himself and not saanjh. Because she herself knows saanjh cannot aquire arjun until and unless arjun gives in. But since she loves arjun and likewise believes him...she shouldn't be insecure of Saanjh's one sided love. And eventually if arjun has himself proved that he isn't trustworthy at quite some points. ..she should have rethought if he was actually her man she had believed him to. Whether Maya trusts Arjun or not is difficult to say. However, as per my observations, I see that Maya trusts Arjun on the professional front that is why she had given a huge responsibility to Arjun. As far as her personal life is concerned, even if she trusts Arjun, she does not trust Saanjh. Any normal woman would not like her man's bff or even his ex to keep a respectable distance from her man. Then, this is Maya. Because of the betrayals, she has faced, it won't be easy for her to trust anybody who comes in her life as that has become her mindset. She needs to come out of that mindset for which it is necessary that someone needs to knock some sense into her and give her the guidance which she didn't get all these years. Only the person close to her heart can do this. The other option is that the person needs to gain her trust so they will be close to her heart. I know it is hard to do that but it is not impossible.
