Well the most accomplished and seemingly perfect people can have insecurities.. She is not insecure about materialistic things otherwise she wouldn't have given away her own company to Arjun.. hired Saanjh though with a motive but point is she is secure that way, about her business capabilities.. but she is insecure where relationships are concerned and we all know there is a reason for it..her scarred memories from childhood.. it comes from fear of losing people around you.. her mother for instance despite of suffering as much as her still went back to trust Ashwin.. Despite of Maya's best efforts to protect her mother she could not stop her from going back to Ashwin.. as far as Arjun is concerned, insecurities are bound to happen.. Im sure Arjun would have been jealous and insecure too if Maya had a friend that close ..the magnitude of it is more in case of Maya coz of her past issues..

Which is why I hope Maya is able to make Arjun jealous in some upcoming episodes!
He should also know what it feels like to have someone so close to the person you love whether it be physical or emotional intimacy

Yea and that's the biggest difference between Maya and Arjun
Maya doesn't like to give pain to her loved ones intentionally
Which is a good quality and bad. At times you really have to show them things they don't want to see in order to understand the diffference between right and wrong
Arjun has to witness some things so that he can understand what it feels like
But knowing maya she wouldn't do anything to intentionally hurt him

Yaha toh Maya should thank Saanjh for making her wedding day so dramatic, interesting and entertaining. Seriously Saanjh kept the guests all entertained. Inta entertainment to serial dekh ke bhi nahi milta jitna entertainment the guests got due to the live serial being played out on Maya's wedding day. ;)

Maya is just a mad woman. She unnecessarily overreacts :|

You have made a good contrast for both these ladies. Maya had already seen the love in Saanjh's eyes for Arjun. However, she didn't see the same in his eyes. Basically, both the ladies don't understand the difference between love & friendship.

Though Maya possesses class, beauty, name, fame, riches, & has got Arjun's love, she finds a competitor in Saanjh which makes her insecure. I would like to add few more contrasts to your post.

Saanjh, though a middle-class girl, has got loving & supporting parents.

Maya does not have that. Her mother Jhanvi is so much engrossed in her lafdas that she never had time for her daughter.

Saanjh has a best friend. She was never isolated. No one has dumped her.

Maya has been betrayed by her own parents & friends, thereby isolating her.

This made her believe that she should not let her loved ones go. It all began with her mother Jhanvi. She does not mind Jhanvi going to the clubs and other places but she has only stopped her from meeting Ashwin who has given them nothing but pains, tortures and the public humiliation.

Maya had developed feelings for Arjun when he saved her from Ashwin. From then on, she began to feel that Saanjh is her rival as far as Arjun is concerned. The rest of them, I don't have to tell as they are already there in other posts.
