We really don't know what's on Arjun's mind since we don't really get an insight to his character very often. He seems to be sharing screentime with either Maya, Saanjh or his family, I don't think he has had many individual scenes.
Whatever he said, came out very wrong, maybe he was just trying to prove a point to his friends (?)

Agree with all that, Arjun loves Maya and her riches play a role. He himself has praised Maya many times previously quote 'shakal aur akal' and ignored her flaws , quote 'use pagalpan nahi, success kehte hai'.

Being an ambitious person, his fear of being labelled a trophy husband plays a huge role in his behavior today. That's what I could make of this.

Great point, it may have just been his inner fears of being labelled as a trophy husband + his drunken self which may have lead to his words.

I presume that was the reason he said all of it, but I was still taken aback by his words.
Kushal has definitely improved a ton from the initial episodes 👏

Arjun undoubtedly loves Maya.
What happened today was more depictive of the society's burden on men for always being the one who earns more. Here Arjun was trying to play all cool - pretending that he was 'earning' the power and status that comes with becoming Maya's husband by consciously attracting and manipulating her (when the truth is that he was surprised when. Maya proposed him).

Alcohol isn't the truth serum, if it was - it would have been heavily used by the police - why would the police have to use torture when they can simply get the suspect high and record their statements?

Indian television annoys me - it loves spreading myths.

What Arjun is trying to claim is ironically an illusion - a Maya. We clearly know that Maya is the one earning more, she's the one who's better at manipulation, she's the one whom the power belongs to, and she's definitely not dancing to anyone's tunes.
It seems unlikely that the police would stuff alcohol into a suspect's system until they can no longer retain the truth, and I'm sure the confession is required at a state where the mind has at least some consciousness and not numbed by liquor.

I never thought that he may be pretending to love her for revenge or money, but rather i always felt that he believes he loves maya because he thinks nobody could love him like maya, plus all the benefits he would get of marrying her. So yes, i don't think he is pretending to love maya, but i just think he doesn't truly love maya and is just in love with the idea of love and seeing how much maya loves him, with a combination of all the riches she can provide him and feeling sympathetic towards her due to her past, and because he fell for maya way too quickly also makes me believe he doesn't truly love her.

You're right, had Maya's social status and past been different, Arjun probably would not 'love' her. Arjun is in for all of it, Maya, her power, her money, her social status and her past, altogether making him love Maya

I think that's what she was trying to say
A person doesn't need to be drunk in order to get the truth out of him
Sometimes When we are intoxicated we tend to say things that we shouldn't say but that doesn't mean that we meant them ;)
Many times we say things we don't mean in normal daily lives, and I'm sure someone can do the same while being intoxicated 😉

From the time Arjun entered the pub he was behaving like a typical husband who love their wives and are scarred about them finding out about their doings. We have seen such kind of scenes on Indian TV before.

But Did't you guys notice how he said to those girls he isn't scared of his "Wife". Arjun already considers Maya as his Wife. Him imagining Maya everywhere points out the fact that he does Love and care for Maya and don't want to hurt her by his doings... lol

I agree, Arjun was very cautious while he was at the pub, and him imagining Maya everywhere was hilariously cute.
I didn't notice, he addresses Maya as his wife? I must re-watch the episode 😆

His proposal seemed too rushed and a guy like him who was carefree and never gave importance to LOVE before, him falling in love so deeply in a day is weird. If he turns negative, then I don't know if I'll like it or not but it would still be interesting. However, I still feel Maya will turn negative as Ashwin has been talking about some evidence that can send Maya to prison for 20 years. What else could be the crime except Murder?

Maya turning into an entirely negative character would be too predictable, I hope the CVs keep her grey, it's going great so far.
There have been times when Arjun's feelings for Maya have clearly been depicted as love but you never know what can happen in Beyhadh 😆

But at the same time I don't want Maya's husband to turn out like her father :(
It will just be too sad, that she couldn't receive true love from anyone :(

This would be a great twist, but at the same time I believe Maya deserves so much better. If Arjun does turn negative, I guess history just repeated itself. I am only willing to witness this plot twist, if Maya gets herself together and stands up as a powerful independent anf revolutionary lead
