Not if she thinks her reformed husband will make a good papa too. Her desperation will significantly cloud her rational thinking, her emotions will take over and she will convince herself that her daughter's well-being is in having her reformed husband with her, one who will love her and their daughter deeply. She will also believe that once Maya and Ashwin live together, Maya will overcome her fear and will accept her father. - Her warped thinking and her intense longing will not allow for any if's and buts.
I agree, Arjun takes Sanjh for granted just as Sanjh took Arjun for granted until the entry of Maya in his life.
Viewer's know Ashwin is someone who even the most venomous snake will spit on but Sanjh is unaware of his true face. Arjun has not confided in her or has she seen Ashwin in action. What she knows is that Ashwin is Maya's father, a poor lame father whom the high and might Maya Madam has kicked out. A man who obviously wants the well being of Arjun and one who knows tha reality of Maya even though he loves her - These last two points will make her blind to rest of Ashwin's qualities...
Plus, Ashwin is a charmer, who can make you jump from Mount Everest without a rope and then console you lovingly and all you would be thinking is "Poor Man, how I have hurt him by falling down, I must make him happy" kind of guy...
Vandana irks me!! Its not her actions but rather in the way the CV's are shaping her. Sure, I understand that Sanjh has to be kept in the loop between Maya and Arjun. She has to be the shadow that is constantly coming between Maya and Arjun and for that Sanjh has to be present in Sharma house. That presence can be provided when Vandana calls her BUT Why is Vandana dependent on Sanjh so much?? Ideally, they should have shown Vandana relying on Sanjh for handling Arjun or a deep, abiding gratitude for Sanjh that makes her insist that Sanjh should not take a step back or a hope that Arjun will snap out of Maya's spell and will come back to Sanjh.
and None of these scenarios have been constructed strongly which makes Vandana sound irrational.
