Relationships are like spider web, it constitutes of multiple strands, which look fragile and weak yet they have the inherent strength to hold you up and make you whole. Sanjh whose web originates from multiple sources has built a web that is strong, reliable, if one strand breaks away, she has other strands to support her. That is not the case for Maya, her web emanates from one point, all her strands hang from one point and that's her mother, Jhanvi!! The problem for Maya is she has not built her web on a strong, reliable structure. One crack to the structure and the entire web will come apart! Ashwin knows this weakness and he is making complete use of it. He knows he cannot directly attack Maya when she has Arjun to back her up but he can weaken the core and that he is doing successfully, How long will Maya hold herself together is going to prove interesting?
Pincer Movement!! I am not sure whether such a maneuver exists in today's warfare but there used to be a pincer movement during the times of the kings. In that movement, one side would attack their enemy from both sides simultaneously, pinching the enemy caught in the middle. Even though Jhanvi and Vandana are not on the same side, they definitely are using the Pincer movement on Maya unintentionally.
Ina reply to a reader in my previous post, I had mentioned that Maya will require a trigger to get unhinged. The recent episodes underlined this assumption when they showed that Jhanvi who is usually docile is ready to go to the extremes for Ashwin. Jhanvi who anchors Maya's universe has become wobbly causing instability in Maya's psyche. This crack will further widen when Vandana insists on treating Sanjh as a member of the family. ergo, we get Maya who is Paaagalll ! (in Ashwin's language)
I found two dialogues quite interesting today. One was, "Main aapko sulahdunga" and "Ab sab teekh hojayega" - Both are ambiguous and can be construed in different ways.
1. Arjun will bring the much needed peace in Maya's life - A possibility that is rather weak at the moment
or
2. The entry of Arjun will lull Maya into a false sense of security, diminished alertness leads to traps, endangering her, her mind and her loved ones.
or
3. The monsters that have been tormenting Maya will be vanquished by Arjun, finally providing her with peaceful sleep.
or
4. If Maya remains the tormented soul, then death will be her final sleep.
The second dialogue again indicates that
Arjun will come back to Sharma Family, repairing the broken relationships.
or
He will be the bridge for Vandana and Maya and will make everything alright...
Back to our musings now, Loved the fact that the CV's took the time to highlight the contrasting behavior of Arjun towards Sanjh and Maya. While he has to be told about Sanjh's expectations, her feelings, he did not have any such "Dufferesque" moment when it came to Maya. The protectiveness, the care, the concern was something a man shows to his woman and it was not the affection that we got to see in his interaction with Sanjh. Kudos to the CV's for showing it clearly.
