When I planned to watch the show based on promos and waited for months for the show to air, I was waiting an intense for love story filled with obsession with Maya and Arjun as leads as they were the ones who shown to be the leads in the promos and that's how the concept was promoted. They were the ones who were promoted as the lead couple and the only leads, and Maya was never shown a dark, villain, or completely negative. She was shown as a grey character who loved Arjun Beyhaad that she even burnt the pandit's house. I thought Saanjh was just an important character but a supporting character along with other family members celebrating Arjuns birthday in the second promo. She was never shown to be also the lead in the promos. In fact, I didnt even notice her until I kept watching the promos over and over to see how such a good show will air and then I noticed her with the family. I thought she was just a character of someone close to Arjun who found Maya weird. I never thought she was also a lead also and I will be forced to accept a third person always in the main lead couple. And had her character been written well, I would've have even accepted her despite getting the shock of finding out there were three leads when I came to the forum on the first episode day. In the beginning I even accepted her as her character was okay, but then her character has been only going down hill. First I liked her, then I became neutral and liking her at the same time, then I became annoyed when dragged Arjun out from his office and his work to eat with her when he had just gotten a job. Then she became annoyed, then irritating, and now she's just completely annoying, irritating, and disliked.
The Cvs promised us something else and promoted a love story of Arjun and Maya, but they have been forcing Saanjh everywhere and not even letting us enjoy any moment of ArYa in peace. š¤¢ Such a disappointment. And if they really show Maya a murderer tomorrow, then they have completed ruined the show. They promoted her as grey character in the promos who just burned house and was talking to God and a love story of ArYa as the only leads. But we get Villain MaYA, a third and surprise lead they never promoted and making her the heroine, and not giving us ArYa love story they promised. Then this show has no difference with all other shows in Indian Television with the same Vamp and Sautan after the poor goody heroine character, who's actually not a goody character here, and the hero and how's she's coming b/w the bechari herione and hero. So was their so called revolution and unique concept about??š²šš¼
Cvs, Give us a GREY Maya! Not a Villain and a complete Negative Maya we were never promised neither the concept was about. Give us ArYa love story. We know Maya has problems but no true love gets completed with no problems. Show us their journey and Arjun always with her, supportIng each other all problems they have from past, present, individual problems and external problems from others creating problems in their lives. ARYA Should be the end game, and we should get their full love story which was promoted. As for Saanjh as third lead, it's okay we will tolerate just like I have loved many important characters in love stories. But that does not mean we will accept her as heroine or ending up with Arjun with no ArYa. We were promised ArYa love story, not Arjun and a character celebrating birthday of the hero ending up with him instead of the heroine and the love who were shown in the promo. A female lead picking up her life who was disown by society for her mental problems and getting healed with the help, love, and support of the male lead would be revolutionary and unique. Otherwise, there would be no difference in the show if they go normal route and put Maya in mental asylum or make her dead or suicide in the end like usual. It will just reinforce treating people with mental issues as outcast who derserve no love, treatment, and chance. A Love story and Journey like that will be first time seen in Indian Television with female grey lead healed and accepted by the hero, and ending up with him. Give us what you had promoted, promised, and for what the majority of viewers expect and are watching the show for.
P.S In Indian shows, the males leads get away with kidnapping, forcing to marry, beating her family members and all sort of abuse in the name of love despite of them having no mental issues and gets the girl in the end. And here if they make Maya villain, put her in asylum or dead, then it will be just so unfair to see how male get away with everything and women like Maya who have mental issues and don't even force and abuse yet still are the Villains and should be dead or put in mental asylum.
