I think it'll get more and more obvious with each episodes that both her mom and dad visits her only in her imagination , she imagines her mom out of sheer loneliness and imagines her dad because he was that nightmare in her life from which she couldn't wake up..

-Arjun trying to confess his prank: he tries to talk with Maya but she keeps avoiding him. She seemed disturbed that Arjun happened to get a small glimpse of her true self behind the mask. And he doesn't tell the truth instead tells her about his fears. Something tells me that this truth might come back to bite Arjun later.

- Saanjh meets with Maya: Both Arjun and Saanjh start off by pretending that they don't know each other. But Maya knew that they know each other. She even knew that Arjun fought with the model for Saanjh. This could be why she was being lenient with Arjun when he went onto steal the dresses.

- Maya is definitely getting affected by Arjun. She got affected by seeing Arjun-Saanjh friendship too. And she kept thinking about the previous lift incident and about Arjun confronting her in the washroom. I liked that these thoughts were shown matter-of-factly instead of in a dreamy way with bg music, etc.

- Finally Maya's b'day is here. Looks like her father smearing cake on her face might be why Maya got affected when Arjun does the same as per the promo. Her father seems to have ruined her b'day for her.

My thoughts on today's epi:

- Maya gets Arjun's pink balloon and she brightened up; thankful for that small happiness. It's these small things that are lacking in her life.

- The temple scene: Maya's father comes and as usual she recognizes him by his footsteps and starts to panic. But I was genuinely surprised when he got attacked by the dogs; hurray for the dogs!! And more surprising was Maya's victorious smile at the end. Looks she had come prepared this time for the attack. It was good to see a different side to Maya- until now she was panic-stricken when her father is around but this time even though she got scared, she arranged for a good payback!!

- At the office: Maya hesitantly accepts Arjun's wishes and even smiled. Things seemed a bit normal but the surprise celebration seems to have completely taken Maya back to her 9th birthday. It's sad that she is unable to happily celebrate her birthday even years after that 9th birthday.

PS: I get the feeling of a possibility of Saanjh-Ayaan ending up together in the future.

I sometimes get that feeling too, but then remember than Saanjh and Arjun are the same age (if they've been through school and college together?) and it would look weird to pair her with a person younger than her.

Probably friendly banter between two people who know each other very well- but the number of times Ayaan jokingly says she should go for him instead- nobody would say it at EVERY occasion, would they?

He'll be definitely there for her when she gets the Arjun-Maya shock though.

I get that feeling too, I feel as if Ayaan has some residual feelings for Saanjh, but is holding back because of her feelings for Arjun.

Yeah, I guess Ayaan is younger to Saanjh but I guess it's not such a bad thing if the girl is the elder one in a relationship. Plus, Saanjh actually looks more closer to Ayaan's age than Arjun's.

And yeah, it's the way Ayaan jokes and flirts with her that gives this indication.

Yeah, Ayaan might be having one-sided feelings for Saanjh just like she has for Arjun's; maybe just that his feelings are not so obvious or visible like Saanjh's.

Would make for really awkward family dinners if the CV's put Arjun-Maya and Ayaan-Sanjh together!

Devrani likes elder son but married the younger one, and Maya's devarji thought bhabhiji was "sakshaat hotness ki devi" but married the one who had pined for his elder brother!

And caught in all this is Vandana!

Looks very convoluted 😆 don't think the CV's will go down that path...too messy, and risks alienating viewers.

Saanjh's path depends on whether Maya falls for Arjun or Arjun falls for her, and all the indications I get currently point to the former. She's clearly affected by his presence and Jennifer's done a great job of portraying it.
