@Farzi I had very much wanted to read that book, but have not read it yet. But knowing Cinevistaas they take English fiction adaptations. So it is a possibility. Saanjh will fight case for Arjun is definite.

Shruthi, I think we last met on Ek Tha Chandar Ek Thi Sudha forum..what a gem of a show that was. Its nice to see you here! I have always loved your writings :)

Coming to your post, lovely analysis, as always. Maya is indeed an illusion - she is at that position where Arjun wants to reach, but at the same time she isn't what she appears because behind all that power, hides a vulnerable, lonely & destructive (possibly) child. Arjun, as we've seen in the past 3 episodes, is not one to give up easily. And I think that is the very quality that will win Maya's heart; his determination & honesty. And Arjun will be enchanted, enticed into the Maya jaal without knowing it & by the time he becomes aware, escaping would be difficult. Sanjh IMO here should play the role of the one who would enlighten him in realising that the true power lies with him & not Maya. More than a court case, I would like for Maya to be treated if she is suffering from some condition (which she most likely is)

Let's see how it goes. We're only 3 episodes in. I hope this show lives up to the expectations!

Cheers,
Samridhi

@Hey Samridhi Ek tha Chander you can know my love for it seeing my DP. I could never bring myself to change that DP.
Court case most probably should be for Arjun realization what blindly following Maya can result into or the yesterday epi sentence " to win anything". Maya has to be treated that is for sure. But for treatment acceptance of problem is necessary which at this point she is not accepting.

Actually they don't normally adapt English fiction, but they have done adaptations. I am happy that this is a finite show - they're bloody brilliant with their finite fictional shows. I'm excited to see how do the relationships pan out.

Do you think this will be a mixture of Gone Girl and Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, the Urmila-Fardeen flick? As in it ends up with Saanjh saving Arjun from Maya's psychotic obsession, but the entire ordeal leaves Maya permanently disabled?

@Farzi I am seeing a streak of Gupt here. 😃 as far as thriller aspect goes. Yes pyar tune kya kiya is also there. But let us see how it goes as it seems there are many layers that are not opened. I chose to watch the show because of PH. I was a crazy fan of their Junoon in nineties. Then again was mad about EHT 😃
PH is very important to me, as a policy I avoid EK, Rashmi Sharma and after DABH fiasco SSP too.

^ Dude I'm a huge Cinevistaas fan. From Sanjivani to DMG to EHMMBH to EHT to D3, I think I've watched almost all of their shows. As long as they stick to their main story, they rock their shows, which is why EHT was such a success. Of course the fact that the story is so intriguing is a definite plus point - plus I think the leading ladies are very good! Jen and Aneri have done a fabulous job.

Sorry to barge into your conversation!
I loved Junoon as well! I think I watched it all the way till the end.. it was the first ever longest running soap na? Like 500 episodes or close to that?
Back then Indian TV was on a different level man.. so many freaking good shows❤️

@samridhi no issues. Junoon was in its own league. Used to come running to watch it after the class. I used to have shifts for plus 2. Yes it was 500 epi or so. Indian TV can be classified into before EK and after EK and we can write a essay.
I stayed away from TV quite long before coming back to it 2-3 years back when some nice shows started coming in. Else you open the idiot box what you get is tears and more tears.

Hello Shruthiji

I used to read all your posts in Dehleez forum and loved them. Also good to a lot people from Dehleez forum.

I loved this post the way you analyzed the names.

Like Dehleez this show looks promising as the female lead here is an anti-heroine she is not the conventional goody good type leads. Hence the concept looks fresh on the Tv.
