I need the whole back story of MJ-Maya, they keep giving us little bread crumbs but depending on what he did--I can see why she wants the revenge she wants. It seems Rishi was truly innocent to his father deeds and Maya seemed extremely guilty and in turmoil so there really isn't any redemption for her as of today.
She has room for the baby so she is in live-in relationship then with whom by the fb first it's seem MJ Antara both know her promised her infect the whole family likes her by the party fb in today fb MJ is with Maya I'm hell confused i just hope mj not at all Maya lover coz that really not make good for anything
Shruthi I had made this comment in another post. There could be a similarity with rage of angels here where Adam’s wife tells Adam and Jenny her marriage is just a compromise and she wants to unite Jenny with Adam coz Adam will be happy with her and later when Jenny is pregnant turns the table on her. Here Antara might have been coaxed by MJ to lie to Maya that their marriage is gonna break. Maya might have succumbed to that lie and given in to MJ’s advances. Had an affair, got pregnant but of course MJ wouldn’t want the baby and assaulted her. But no matter what Maya is wrong. Her innocence or naivety can’t be an excuse for her having an affair with a married man. She was cowering when MJ approached her and she still cowers when he is around. What life would she have given that child even if she gave birth? She would have done that kid kindness by aborting it given she herself was in no position to protect it. It’s my belief that u shouldn’t bring a kid into this world if u cannot give it a healthy environment to grow. She herself was very young and she knew was involved with the wrong people. She can’t stand strong before MJ. She couldn’t in the past and she can’t in the present. If Rishi paid a price for being MJ’s son then she paid a price for her stupidity. So y take it out on Rishi? She says a child for a child. But what if Rudra? How will she account for his loss? Rishi was not just MJ’s son but Rudra’s baby brother. What of a brother’s loss? This Maya is someone I can’t relate to right now.

Well it seems the concept of bh2 itself is dark. Leave killin rishi Maya was infact mj ka lover maybe his mistress. So when did Maya enter mj life. She might hav known he is married. Was she a homewrecker knowingly becoz she found mj attractive and then paid the price for it. Lot of questions. One thing is for sure Maya entered mj life knowing he is married. I now need more answers to emphatize with her. Becoz if she became mistress knowingly then her killin rishi is pathetic becoz he had nothin to do with an ema indulged by 2 adults. It's better cv show somethin better so that audience can connect with Maya. Maya of s1 I could connect but this Maya appears distant.
The problem isn't in the concept but in the treatment of the concept and the inconsistency in the character arc of Maya. You are promoting her as dark and you are only going back on your words. Just stick to portraying Maya as the crazy-ass b*t*h she is, without establishing empathy for the character, but the thrill of the obsession in her in a different way. You will show she is good, she has virtues and do 360-degree turn does not help. Show the madness, the obsession, hate, and flawless planning. Show her to be the femme fatale. But nahi, in logo ne pran liya hai ki gur gobar karke chodenge.

There is also a possibility that she might not have known that MJ is married. As per the promos, it is said that MJ had used Maya for his betterment & dumped her. Not only that, but he also tried to kill her at the pregnancy state. Nandini was telling Rudra that Maya was never like this before. She became like that after she got dumped in love. Even at the party, Maya also remembered her moments with Antara. It clearly showed that MJ and Antara had planned to ruin Maya & amass her wealth. However, I agree with you that we need more clarity to conclude.
I think I can never empathize with a killer! Maya is now as evil as MJ! She could have done anything to take revenge but not taking an inoncent life. I am fed up seeing the manipulative, evil and manipulative Maya!
PS: As far we know Mj killed her unborn baby but may be she was madly in love with him and he took her only for his mistress and gave her fake hope and ruined her life but it doesn’t give her the right to kill a masoom!
No symphaty for Maya in fact I kinda lost interest watching it!

Again this. Why do people think that a character which murders has to be a crazy and that too a bitch. Why can't the character have shades? Why do we want ITV to be stuck on same stupid lines? Let's just accept it beyhadh is different than others because it shows dark characters but thinking that dark characters can't emote is immature. They have emotions and they have other side's too.
@Shruti she can have ema but maybe what happened was she was happy to have a child but her child was murdered, her brother was murdered and her father was murdered. In my opinion it is good enough reason ( not justification but reason) for her revenge.
I think maya had an affair with Mj's brother, so in order to save his reputation Mj murdered both: the unborn child and father or what can be more logical than this?

Ok, shouldn't have used the word b*tch, apologies for that. But what I am trying to explain here is that I also mean the same. ITV writers are inconsistent while showing the 'darkness' of Beyhadh which they promote. They aren't able to maintain a character arc. There are way too many discrepancies. Dark characters emote differently, I get, but the problem is that ITV thinks darkness comes with killings and murders, which isn't the case. Darkness of a mind comes in various shades which they aren't willing to explore. How is Maya in S2 different than S1? How is the darkness different? She is still justifying her killing. It is just the same thing repackaged.
As far as extramarital affairs is concerned, I am not giving it too much thought before it plays out as to what happened. Let's see if it was Mrityunjay or someone else.
