The fragile self- The fear of identification

In Bh season 1 I had put a comment Maya looks strong but she is a fragile individual. Always on the run. Always wanting to hide herself from the world. Afraid to reveal herself to the world. Today episode was a classic reminder of that. Exactly the same feeling. The very strong Maya who doesnt want anyone to see her. Why. Rudra asks the right question. What are u afraid of. Maya is afraid because Maya has lot to hide. She can never play from front against an opponent called MJ. Maya loses her confidence and poise when she hears those footsteps. The question arises. What has happened to her exactly. If MJ is her lover why is she afraid of him. What has MJ done to her if indeed he was her lover.

Maya in a way is also stumped by Ananya who turns out to be Rudra ka business partner. Her truth is shared with Ananya atleast the truth Rudra knows and Maya needs to be wary of this wild card becoz somewhere Ananya will smell something wrong and can investigate. Maya has put her eyes on another relation to break. Ananya says to Rudra " tu dosti nibah, main pyaar nibhavungi". Tho Ananya can reach the truth. Thankfully she is not irritating like Saanjh.

What today's episode showed was the fragility of Maya which Rudra is gonna see tomorrow. And Maya doesnt understand when Rudra shielded her from press it was he who undid MJ ka plan.

Yeah precap gave me lift scene feel from season one. Even Rudra-ananya scenes witnessed by maya were similar to season one. Just ananya is so much more better and likable character than Saanjh, and I feel for their friendship at this stage.

Maya is too wide open don't you think. After all the plotting and planning she did last few years to get to this point and still not able to sense the things like reporters hindrance and Mj's presence in office. Her khabri should be able to handle all those external factors to some extent, no. He should keep a total vigil on MJ. Taking MJ too weak will be a downfall for her.

Ananya and Rudra are individual wildcards and together they can def destroy Maya's plotting. Good thing she is in the office to put a barrier between them. Now i want to see it being an extremely difficult task for her as Rudra trusts Ananya completely. Do you think it will weaken from Ananya's side or Rudra? I bet on ananya at this stage. She can be manipulated to some extent by MJ.

Maya can't really hide her true self in front of Rudra though, so that is fun. Her needing him despite thinking that she is just using him as pawn for her game.

@alizia the fun is vulnerability of Maya which Rudra gets to know. Coming to Ananya she is under so much duress from MJ and Rudra has not shared the reason for his hatred for his dad to her. Today unintentionally Ananya became a pawn in MJ hand by calling press meet. So MJ will use her and maybe not intentionally but unintentionally Ananya ka mistake Maya will utilize to split Rudra and Ananya the same way Maya did with Arjun and Saanjh in season 1. But Saanjh was irritant and was in places she shouldnt have been. But Ananya I feel is gonna really get hurt in the process.

Maya wants to hide herself from MJ but then why she roams free with Rudra-Rishi. MJ can easily catch her like that. Yeah, she took precautions by her that friend. But it's not so easy in my eyes. Then was the face hiding scene in cafe true ?

Can't imagine what kind of abusive MJ was that she freaked out by thinking to face him, although he was her former lover whom she loved truly. She's like the Maya Mehrotra. Hope Rudra joins her in the war of justice & she fights it face to face. Unknowingly Rudra was with her against MJ.

Like a true friend, Rudra took stand for Ananya although Ananya didn't want that for the deal. She was so excited that although Maya was angry at first then it was replaced by irritation. She can dig about her but it's not happening soon. Right now, she just wants Maya to stay. I hope Maya doesn't try to break their so beautiful friendship.

If she got to know that by chance, it would be nice.

@shruthi I haven't watched beyhadh 1 much except for few episodes and youtube scenes, still Saanjh was a big irritation. I love Ananya's character here, she is independent, has her own opinion, and Rudra is not the start and end for her life. MJ will def use her at some point.

Liked maya's vulnerability, though could use more involvement of maya's khabri in the story line. He should have informed her Mj's presence. Waise maya acts vulnerable in front of Rishi but strong for Rudra but she has to show her actual vulnerable side to Rudra in Precap. Pretending will never work between Maya and Rudra. Coming in office might be a big step in right direction for her plan but it is also a dark path to her pain. She has to open up and show her wounds to Rudra and hopefully that will not weaken her in her motives and revenge. Rudra can either stand by her supporting her, making her strong or against her weakening her, leaving her more open to hurt.

Exactly without even giving full effort MJ can unravel her plans so easily. She shouldn't be that open after deep plotting and planning of years. I want starting 20 or so episodes to showcase clever and always one step ahead of everyonw maya. MJ needs to actually step in the game to make it difficult for her. Some involvement of her khabri could have easily avoided all reporters drama and he should have been the one to phone her about Mj's car in parking lot. Vulnerable scenes still would have made sense but it could have shown maya's plotting extent atleast. MJ is just playing minor games as of now.

Ananya is pretty matured in how she reacts to the Rudra-MJ dynamic. Her loyalty is clearly towards Rudra but will it change when she sees him falling for Maya?

Maya was downright petrified sensing MJs presence. Its an important reminder that despite all her perfect plans, at the end of the day, she is a human being and is therefore vulnerable. It also reinforces what we have been saying that Maya needs Rudra to win this Mahabharata. I am so excited to see Rudra supporting Maya.

Yeah, today's scene reminded me so much of Maya 1.0. It was nostalgic. 😆 I am glad they remember to add some points of S1 here but manage to keep it completely different also at the same time. However, I do not want Rudra to become Maya's knight in shining armour like Arjun was shown to be in S1, coz we have already seen it. I hope the same concept of fear is dealt with differently this time. I ship MayRa and all but I want their journey to be different and new.

I didn't remember the lift scene initially. Mom did. She was like this is the lift scene. 😆

MJ may have been her lover or whatever..but one thing is for sure. She's hiding from him. She's changed her name too, to Maya I believe. Her name isn't Maya Jaisingh or MJ Would have recognised her.

And yes, Rudra was extreme level savage today. 👏 * whistles and hoots*

I started watching BeyHadh coz I was a Maya fan, but I am slowly turning into a Rudra fan, and I am glad Shivin is proving me TOTALLY wrong..I didn't expect him to pull this off SO well. ☺️

I love how Rudra put Maya in her place today. I loved how she retaliated. That wasn't part of the plan. 👏
