Is anyone else not impressed ? Only one expression he has all the time. His dialogue delivery is so so terrible!
The other three characters - Maya, Rudra and Rishi are acting circles around him! Maybe it’s too soon but I find Ashish’s acting awful

Yes..i had a lot if expectations from him...but when i watched the first episode (havent watched a any of his shows, but people were talking so highly of him), i was like is this the great actor they were talking about!..his dialogue delivery was bad in the first episode.. but since 2nd episode onwards he is okay..he has good screenpresence..but need to improve his dialogue delivery.
Shivin also first few scenes he was unimpressive..but he picked up towards the end of first episode itself.
When i watched the first part of the first episode i was like god i was thinking the casting is good this time but looks like this season also only jenny is going to deliver...But Rishi came as a surprise package..so natural n spontaneous onscreen.
I feel MJ character has been kept toned down for a reason ... may be as they peel each layer we will get the other side of him.. till now they have only shown him as a dating dad and God fearing businessman..
In the first epi it was almost like we had to feel bad for him..his son hates him etc
Then now we can see that he is calculative.. he even doesnt give any reactions to his mother's taunts..
But I do feel he should up his dialogue delivery..
Shivin on d other hand I felt he has greatly improved as an actor compared to his previous shows..he stood out and so did rajat as rishi.. and yeah another surprise was ananya for me
I feel he is good. I don't think all the expressions of his are same.. I mean in first episode you could see the tension when rishi was missing and the pain when he speaks to rudra..
Also in last episode when ananya tells to disha that your brother sold himself for 3 days, that scene the change in his expressions could be seen..
Yes I did have a problem with his dialogue delivery in 1-2 episodes, but from 3rd it was ok. Ya may be that he needs to work on more. Otherwise I could she his shrewd side and the dad side..
Also I think he should be given more screen space..
I think in terms of acting, we see a lot more of Maya, Rishi and Rudra coz they have greater arcs to play with. Maya is vengeful, Rudra is also vengeful in a way towards his father, and Rishi is this happy, joyous guy who's infatuated and in love with a mysterious girl much older than him. Their playing fields are much wider than MJ's. Right now, we see very little of MJ, And what we see is a ruthless businessman who loves his sons. And he's killing that role.

True.. May be if his screen space is more we will get to see more of him.. I have seen his previous works in dhamaal n DEV, he portrayed comedy and detective role very well.
Little work on dialogue, n i think that should do. Else the way he reacts, his expressions is good.
I don't know but I felt his acting stoic and restricted. May be being the dad of two young boys, who are actually like friends to him, is limiting his expressions or may be the huge expectation from audience for this season of Beyhadh is creating pressure on him and thus constricting his acting. But no matter what I feel he could do better and also hope he'll soon overcome whatever uneasiness he may have been experiencing.
P.S. - I loved Rishi the most. He's spontaneous, jovial, free spirited and a treat to watch, a complete pleasant surprise indeed! ❤️
