I'd like to discuss what stood out the most for me in today's episode; triggers.

Trigger 1 : Whatever the past holds, whatever tragedy Maya's gone through, it seems like there's a fire accident involved. Her reaction to the fire alarm alert on her phone wasn't purely of panic; she seemed triggered. Frightened that history might be repeating itself again. She was in tears too and only calmed down upon realising that the smoke was coming out of the oven.

Trigger 2 : The what's your value gibe and Rudra's bracelet. I absolutely loved Jen's portrayal of what it's like when someone's triggered. She got triggered, lost her ground, flashbacks came back to haunt her and then she regained calm and composure, all in a matter of a moment. Such brilliance, Jennifer!

From Maya and her mother's conversation and the way her mother was introduced, she didn't exactly appear to be someone who is suffering from psychological conditions as some views around speculate. She definitely is reeling in grief though. I wouldn't rule out the possibility of the father-son duo being alive just yet because I think they have managed to keep the mystery around it well. On one hand, there's the dialogue exchange, 'kuch rishte toot jaate hain, par uss rishte se bandhe insaan nahi chut te. Ho sake toh rishton ko choddna seekhiye, insaan se bandhan apne aap toot jayega; kuch rishte chodde nahi choot te' hinting more towards the end of the relationships rather than the death of the people and then on the other hand, there's Maya's dialogue, 'Cake jal chuka hain, Papa aur Manas ke saath humare rishte ki tarah; jaali hui cheezon ko haath lagane se sirf apne haath kale hote hain' which seems like a metaphor to me for ashes for the dead one's being sift through. Add to that Manas's voice note, that entire shot of her having the burnt cake to going and sitting on the table has a very dubious tone. So, chances of either of the cases being true is 50-50% as far as this episode is concerned. More shall be revealed gradually, I suppose, as I hadn't even expected Maya to have a mother this season.

I assume it's almost safe to conclude that Disha's MJ's daughter out of an illicit relationship. MJ's mother almost confirmed it by saying, 'tum toh aise naraaz ho rahi ho jaise uss ne apne baap se nahi tumhare baap se baat ki ho' and calling her a 'shraap'. Rishi's perhaps is oblivious to Disha's real identity. Otherwise, I wouldn't see how he would call his step-sister D-aunty and also flirt with her. Antara's may be the only one who has accepted Disha into the family and that's another reason Rudra's upset with his mother. Also, no interaction between Rudra and Disha so far suggests that too.

Thoughts, people? 😃

PS Since Rudra is 30, MJ should be in his 50's atleast if not in 60's and that'd put Maya's somewhere between 30-50. In her late thirties or early forties and that brings another theory into consideration which I personally wasn't quite fond of, a possible past romantic relationship between MJ and Maya. 🤔

I really don't want any romantic angle between Maya and MJ. But I guess MJ knows Maya somehow. He was almost about to see the drawing. It definitely means he knows her.

Me neither. But I'm not too quick at the moment to discard any possibility. Especially since how MJ's reputation is hinted to be of a Casanova kind and the what's your rate jibe pinched an old wound of Maya's. I'm more inclined towards this whole revenge being based on family/loved one's death or family breaking apart than an old flame/EMA resurfacing.

I think mj knows maya , hints:

1)he ws about to see her when that drowning incident happened, but didn't

2)he ws about to see maya's picture that rishi had drawn but couldn't.

It's just 3 episodes and everything right now is unclear suspense and that is how it should be bcos it's thriller, and yes both maya and MJ past are unclear . Mayaa family bro father duo relationship status with them and MJ himself is mystery his cold relationship with rudra and everything about MJ is suspense, I don't want to think much just go with flow of storyline just hope tevery mystery get solve without any loopholes. But many articles stakes that MJ was dating maya in past and dump her

Nice post.

Yeah, it's not clear yet her father & brother are dead or alive. 50-50 chance.

And if Diya is step-daughter of MJ then why she'll call her step-mom by her name🤔

There's so many possibilities of this story, we just have to wait. Every episode brings a new angle.

When behadh season 2 announcement was made.... There was story outline leaked on twitter. It was behadh 2 Maya will romance father and son. The father will dump her while the son will heal her. That's why they casted Ashish as Mj or else they could have taken anyone else for the role. Ashish isn't that old too. He wouldn't have taken the role if it dint have anything significant. This season who are parents and kids can't understand only. The casting is weird. Even Maya s mother dint like her. The last season be it Maya s parents or Arjun s parents or even saanjh parents they look appropriate for their roles.

What they revealed may or may not be the true storyline of Beyhadh2! We just have to wait for a few more episodes to be clearer! And in contrary to your belief, I feel this season has the perfect casting! Everyone looks their part and is doing a fantastic job at their characters portrayal...apart from the leads, who by the way are doing awesome and fit their roles to the T, I thought even though Rishi is such a happy-go-lucky guy, the actor looks and does his parts so well that he doesn’t come across irritating, at least not to me, even the actress play sing Ananya is doing great! And so are everyone else! It’s just 3 episodes and I didn’t expect to like all the actors, but so far, I have been really impressed!

@on topic: I agree...it was really unexpected that they would reveal something about Maya’ family so soon! I knew she had a mother this season but had no idea they would be hinting on her sibling as well, but this makes me more scoffed to see how the story unfolds! I’m very confused about MJ-Maya dynamic as well...it’s not necessary that they had a romantic relationship, may be he betrayed her family in the business or something on that line and Maya witnessed it and is now set to seek the revenge! There’s many possibilities...let’s see what the makers have decided!!
