Shreya, I know you haven't posted your analysis yet. But I thought I'll pen my thoughts down here. 😆
Apart from the obvious high point of the fear factor MJ, i'll focus on other stuff. 😆
A. Trust. So we had 3 different instances when the word was mentioned.
1. The first time when Rudra told Maya he doesn't trust her so he'd consult his lawyer. Maya didn't flinch then coz she wanted to get onto Rudra's nerves..and she wasn't hiding anything at that point. The contract had no loopholes. And this proved her statement that those who fear have something to hide.
2. Second when Rudra told Ananya to sign asking her to trust him. She does. And Maya looked on. Maya doesn't like it. I don't think she's jealous or anything, coz that has no role here. But now it's told to her pretty plainly that RuAn share deep trust with each other. And Rudra-Maya do not have that trust even though they have signed to work together. And this tells her their friendship is very deep and very strong. And she wants to break it. Why? Maybe to make Rudra weak? Coz Ananya is able to manage Rudra while Maya is only able to stump him. She backs him into a corner while Ananya is able to placate him. And with Ananya around, Rudra truly won't be defeated.
3. Third when she confronted him about the press. She said, Tumne bharosa thoda hai. Though confidentiality could mean bharosa, I doubt she was referring to that. There's no trust lost between the two of them. But Ananya trusts Rudra. And maybe unconsciously, Maya WANTS to do the same. So, she's forcing that card of trust. By saying those words, Rudra isn't guilt-tripped. Heck, those aren't even true. Her first words should have been contract thoda hai. But she says bharosa.
So she may want to convey, that though HE doesn't trust her, she trusts him, like Ananya does. I doubt she's comparing herself to Ananya, she isn't. But that's a point she notes very significantly.
I LOVED this point so decided to point it out.
B. Also, Rudra and Rishi aren't able to back Maya into a corner. Though Rudra does try putting her off her guard with his innate goodness and honesty. But MJ solidly owns her without deliberately trying to do so. Her plans and her safeguards, her boundaries fail to help her where MJ is concerned. And it is possible that she wants to use his sons as weapons to fight him coz she can't do it herself. And that was the underlying tone today, that MJ's small step of the press shook Maya like anything.
C. And Maya's outburst ☺️. So, the other day Maya told Krishna about not getting diverted or something. And today, she plainly told Rudra that he's affecting her and her boundaries and he's able to weaken her resolve. The first time he touched her was at the construction site to save her, then she remembered the repulsive, torturous touch of the past. Then he deliberately held her coz he was pissed. She was angry then, and warned him to stay away.
Today, when he held her close, she didn't remember the gruesome past and the abuse, she remembered the tenderness, the love, care and affection. And that shook her the most. And that's why her reaction was so strong. And Rudra's concern was extremely tender and Maya responded to that. This is against Rishi's open display of affection and concern, coz Maya probably knows those are superficial words. Rudra's words of concern are much lesser but have greater impact coz of the intensity of the man himself.
And she again proved her own statement that those who fear have something to hide. And she has something to hide. And that's why her fear. She's hiding from MJ, from people in general. And Rudra has hit the bull's eye with that. And her awareness of that is seen in her eyes. 👏
The other scenes and all were insane to watch and you'd probably figure out a lot more symbolism that I'd wait to read. 🤗
