Totally deserves the 60%.

I have never voted for actors or films ever in my life. Always thought it was never my business and didnt give two hoots about any of this stuff. This was my first time and I am glad the votes weren't wasted and went to the deserving candidate :) I wish Jen had won too! But, nvm as she has already had her share of award show success and has experienced it all, but I think as compared to the actress who won the award, Jen certainly deserved it (no offence to SC fans. I just find her OTT). I am also very glad that these two won the best Jodi award! No other Jodi deserved it!

And in a country of 1+ billion, 30,000 meters are not the way to calculate the taste and likes of such a huge audience. Mumbai alone has a population of 21 million. We are not even sure where exactly these meters are situated and how they work. Things can change if all the channels decide to work together and completely revamp their programming by adamantly airing only good, sensible, progressive shows. Things may not go smooth initially, but when the TRP aunties have no option but to watch these shows (the way we have no option now apart from the online medium), ratings may start coming in and the taste and likes of those aunties may also see a change. But, I understand that no one would like to leave this well entrenched system and take risks.

I am not against criticizing..but receiving dubious awards known for blatant rigging ..u can't blame itv trp evaluation methods and it's rural audience

...if he is interested in content he can chose online or theater

Why u choosing this unDemocratic way .rural trp aunties may not use Internet ..let them enjoy and live in their own world as long as they r substantially greater in number than so called fine urbane netflix audience tv will chose trp aunties only.

See guys acting is subjective..I don't want to argue on.that he is the best and he is unparalleled.thats u r POV. Let's leave at that but he is a good actor as far as the roles he played ..no one can deny that but he has to yet prove himself in comedy and mythological roles

I don't wish to force my taste on anybody, but I certainly don't wish to let my fellow countrymen and women get influenced by regressive stuff like tantra, mantra, booth preth, etc. TV is a huge medium and can actually help in changing the mindsets of a lot of people who still like to believe in stuff that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Even the so called super natural Naagin series metes out below average VFX despite topping the TRP charts.

I honestly believe the rural trp aunties also deserve better content because since years they have been given just one type of material and therefore there hasn't been any change in their taste either. The channels have taken the easy way out by dishing the same old material because it works..why does it work? Because these rural aunties also haven't been given a proper choice to evolve their taste. One or two shows like POW, Everest won't change things. There needs to be a complete revamp. The ruralites also need to be shown the world that exists outside the saas bahu, tantra mantra garbage. Let them watch the new shows with fresh concepts for a year or two. Give them some time to adjust and accept the new reality and if it works then continue with the model.

Just because we have an option in Netflix that does not mean we should not try and improve things in the television world. We as a developing country who are progressing so fast deserve better than this.

I don't think Harshad ever spoke something about regressive content , he was trying to explain how & what type of contents are aiming different bands of economic audiences...

And taste really matter, we know erotic and even A+(I mean B grade) movies are showing in our country & some are hitting numbers with quite regressive especially about ladies ...The same audiences are going to theatre and giving encouragement for more po*n movies..
Though it is their money, after an extend nothing can be respected, if it is affecting the mental health & growth of our society.

The ita awards are there since the last 18 years

When Harshad Chopda sweeps the awards it is called rigging

What will one call Zee Sold awards then, what about the jury section of ita when instead of 5 nominations all of a sudden within a time frame of 30 minutes six nominees were in the list.

Is Film fare very judious in giving awards ? Why are star kids preferred over genuine talent ?

Coming to indian television the same shows or their franchise are repeated year after year. In that ita should either wait for those shows to end as their have already been awarded and rewarded for their performances. No need of any award cermony, the bhagyas, rishtas and super natural elements of the unknown world should be sent awards by courier bcos as per trp they are topping the charts

Genuine talent has no place here. This is the moral of the story.

I dont get why blind fanatics defend when shit us shown on tv its beyond me. My neighbours(a couple) started beating their sister in law because they thought she is a daayan (they saw her carrying sindoor,lemon and coconut)

This is how tv influence people they saw this shit in nazar and thought that riddhi is a daayan
