So I am trying to come to terms with BP ending but I can't. Does anyone else feel that the fandom has given up on bringing the show back? A lot of other shows have come back because of the pressure of fans but here apart from trending and petition I see no hue and cry. No one is going to Viacom offices and there is no real threat to the channel after all. What has happened. Does the show not deserve to fight for? I am trying to call Viacom offices since past couple days but get no response. I hv to wake up at 1-2 am just to do that from here in the US. I mean I feel so helpless. I don't know what others shows did to get the extension or s2. But I feel that now the makers also don't want to come back. Help me make sense of all of this please.

I think a couple of factors are at play:
1. The way the channel has treated the makers, and by extension the artists, does NOT ENCOURAGE them (to say the least) to go on with them.

2. Since, apparently, the channel holds the rights to this particular show the makers would HAVE to return to them, if they were to continue BP.
Reason one would rule that out.

3. Somehow this reasoning has crept also into the soul of our fandom. So, the drive to clamour for more BP, which would then be on this channel, has been pushed at least to A BACK BURNER. (Forgive the limping metaphor; we're all a little off track these days...)

4. Add to that the 'hatred' and other negativity shown to this channel and the many vows never to return to it. These almost become the reason NOT to ask for more BP on this channel.

5. Besides, would we want the makers, and the performers, to have to undergo such BITTER experiences again?

This doesn't mean we have given up on either the idea or the team, not to forget our JenShad!
Somehow, after Ani Sir's farewell words, I have the feeling they are definitely open to start something again - and, yes, with our jodi.
But these things take time: develop a story, check with producers, find the right channel, get funds/sponsors, decide on locales, etc.

Apart from all this, let's allow Jennifer and Harshad and the others some Me-Time. These were terrible weeks for them too. (Who can forget the tears in Harshu's eyes or the huge hankie covering Jenny's face?)
They know as much as we do that this current track is over. But they also know how much love and worldwide fandom it has brought in its wake. And, that, if nothing else, is a wonderful base to move from.
So, as Jennifer sang, let's look forward.

In all this: WE DO NOT GIVE UP ON OUR LOVE FOR JENSHAD, FOR THE TEAM, FOR THE SHOW.
They have all our support and prayers.

I agree with @T4ThaHaanFan. The makers, ph n cast were treated like shit by the channel. In real life we would never want to be in a place where we feel humiliated. They all deserve better. When there was still time to save this show we all tried our best to appeal to that heartless channel. Now when the show has been given a closure with a horrible two week track that was rushed I don't see what else is left to show. From a story telling standpoint there is nothing left. Had it ended with Papa Hooda's death or before, we could have still expected a season two.

This is the latest news found.

In Twitter they were saying they needed a break from the non-stop trending to take some rest before starting the next trend.

Also I think after what all happened, no one is interested to watch the channel. The channel's treatment anyway won't change.

Regarding copyright issue, there was a news that there happened a contract breach from the channel's side, so the rights would by default come back to PH, not sure how much reliable it is.

1. Since the makers have provided every possible closure to this story, so most of the fandom doesn't feel if they can bring this show back. This story of AdiYa is done for now & forever. Main element of this season was romance with thrill. Thrill is no more, so show son't only run on romance.
2. People don't want another show like this on this channel.

3. Ani sir is depressed & broken because of channel's behavior since they had promised for 300 episodes but didn't uphold it.

4. Don't know about JenShad ever happening on screen. Ani sir's post gave hope & closure. Hope that he might bring them again in an epic love story. And Closure that this was the end of it.

5. Petitions & calling & visiting does nothing. Since Colors has done this before too with Swabhimaan & other shows but nothing happened. They are used to all these tactics.

So the channel won after all! And the makers don't want to go back to it anymore. So no more jenshad then because ITV hardly repeats any pairs. As for ani sir I think it will take take a good 1-2 year to come up with a new story. Gosh why such bad luck with our show. How did udaan came back on this channel.?? Anyone knows that story?? I believe it's still running! I guess with bp the PH now does not want to compromise and is not willing to negotiate. That's why all the talks with channel and PH failed and so they had to ace it.
The only show after ipkknd that I enjoyed watching. Now back to netflix coz I can't stand any of the current shows or even the actors on ITV. Bepannaaah truest brought us international fans into ITV and gave the channel global recognition and award noms and this is what it does to them. Shameless is and understatement!!

Thank you my dear. Answers a lot of my questions and somewhere I am glad that they don't have to deal with the channel anymore. Even the Voot option was a slap on makers faces. They would have to slash their budgets and I think then one of the stars would have to leave to leverage the costs. And ani sir must have refused bco Bepannah is bcoz of jenshad and jenshad only!! We can now only hope and pray.

PH of Udaan wanted to end the show. But since the show was getting fair TRPs, so Channel didn't want that to happen. They asked the PH to consider extension & gave it a new time slot. And that's how it came back. Udaan had a time slot of 8:30 with literally no competition back then except for Kulfi.

With BP, PH doesn't want to ruin the story to satisfy channel's demands. There was news of Channel asking them to consider Voot but PH refused since they had already been played so many times with time slots. Also they have had enough of Channel's gimmicks. New shows could have waited till BB end but they had to end it & justify it with high budget & TRP & what not.

Pair may be repeated with another story if Ani sir wants & JenShad are free with no issues at that time. Both actors have to be free at the same time for the pair to work together. And Channel & PH should have to agree to it as well. JenShad won't agree unless it's a compelling story since they are very choosy about their roles. Ani sir would have to create a powerful story again which takes time. On BP itself he was working for 3 years.

So, as of now chances look very slim. Chinese people do it. Their pairs are easily repeated in some 3-4 shows. Each show has a different story there.

Don't know if this pair would come back ever again with new story. Kitni Mohabbat Hai came for some 6-7 months with season 2 & a completely different story. If ever they decide, then I would be more than happy to see another round of Beyhad with Jenny playing Maya's grown up daughter & HC playing opposite her & Harshad's role can be as strong as her. Or a web-series may be.

After the way berangu treated the show and team, Anirudh is not going to work with that channel again.

The way the show ended, there is no scope left to show anything.

Ani Sir, Jen & Harshad as a whole deserves better and not keel over to the whims & dirty tactics of Colors Again - & I stand by them.
