someone posted that they would 'die' w/o jenshad on an article about this show going off air and i wanted to share my response to them. happiness and health to everyone who reads this...

"someone below me (that im hoping is maybe too young to understand what they really meant to say) posted that they will "die" with out jennifer and aditya. guys, please keep the same energy for your studies and expanding yourself. i promise you that you will barely remember this show or the actors in 10 years or 5 years from now. if you are using this show or any other show as a way of escaping from a difficult situation you are in, know that a television show wont help you get to the root of the problem. and when the show ends the problem will still be there. talk to your parents if you can, a friend or a counsellor. so many fans hang on to these shows when they are ending bc there is a deeper issue or bc they feel like the show is the only happiness they have in life. i know that this message wont apply to many of you but to those of you that it does...take my advice. i've been a member of IF for over 10 years and when i first starting watching hindi serials it was an escape for me from other serious problems that i didnt know how to deal with much less recognize (anxiety, depression and abusive household). regardless good luck to jennifer and harshad."

I totally get what ur saying n it's true. But as u said some get emotionally attached to a show coz it sort of becomes an escape route from their own problems. And yes this is just a respite from our problems not a solution. We need to accept that all good things come to an end n make peace with it. Even if it looks impossible now but fact is we will forget this show in few years and move on. I can say this bcoz seven years ago a show ended that was attached to. For two to three years it felt unreal bcoz the show got an abrupt end and we all indulged ourselves in writing n reading ffs on that show but that phased out too. Once the show is over everyone will accept it n we can always cherish the beautiful moments from the show n feel happy. It's immature if people want to end their life coz of show but it's common for all of us to be upset right now.

Was it on this forum or IG/twitter ??
Please take it with a pinch of salt. If they were that passionate about Bepannaah, we would have been in the top 20. These teens are also extreme, some have fan pages with thousands of followers and yday around this time when i was going through fanpages, i find trending info and then Jaguar India and Lodha builders ads pop ups in Bepannaah insta stories. I can understans why trp is low, insta is a way making money online and Bepannaah is their new engine. These are not fans. The ones on twitter are better who are fighting but they have a certain soft corner for this show.

. Actually slow claps for those trp aunties who sit in front of their tv sets for decades and watch d same show without tweeting or posting anything.

Yes emotionally attachment comes when a fan identifies himself or herself with that character or the story cum leads. Sometimes is a way to destress but many are obessessed with the larger than life image of actors. This is unhealthy and is definitely a worrisome trend.

Over here it was those flawed characters which made Bepannaah different but many turned critics and left. A huge number of fans are overwhelmed by the chemistry of our leads and their acting abilities. They do deserve awards but that is another story.

Our show's shelf life is very short, we also have Harshad who can disappear. There maybe some sentiments which linger on bcos life after Adiya's wedding is full of woes, they have'nt become one , many tracks which have no closures, so it is indeed incomplete.

But once it is over, most of them will get over it.

we have unstable fans, another show with good leads, plenty of drama or whatever they want, loyalties will shift.

no it was on here. i dont think (well i hope) that no one would actually kill themselves... i know that its a figure of speech but still i worry about how many pre-teens / teens spend time watching and obsessiving over these hindi serials when instead they should be studying for an exam, or participating in extra-curricular activities - things that will actually take them somewhere in life. as for those aunties that watch shows on tv for decades without posting anything...well many of them dont have social media because they discouraged by their spouses from being "too westernized". and just because you are a "fan" doesnt make you obligated to do anything... they watch the show for a half hour a day and then go back to their domestic / non-domestics duties. i feel like a lot of people who watch and obsess over these shows are the ones who dont have any romance / passion in their life b/c they are in a loveless marriage or because their parents wont allow them to date. (kinda like how all of those soccer moms were hooked on 50 shades of grey).

yeah i get what you mean...when you are THAT devoted to a something (a boyfriend, a show, anything that is routine and integrated into your life) when it ends you will definitely feel some sort of loss.
