My Take on The TRP Decreasing

As we all know, Bepannaah's TRPs are diminishing and it is normal for us to be worried about our favorite show. The show started with a TRP in the top 5 list when it first aired due to many factors, but I feel the main factors were the emotional / suspenseful promos, the 2 main lead's popularity, the hype surrounding the show, and the time slot.

9 PM is a VERY competitive time slot, all the popular shows air at this time and the main reason is that 9 PM is the time when most people stay up and watch TV. The majority of TV audiences in India prefer to watch shows at 9 PM. Although Bepannaah's TRP had begun to drop, it was still in a safe zone in the 9 PM slot as more people were willing to stay up at this time. Now if we take an audience that chose to watch TV at 9 PM and expect them to shift to 10:30 PM aren't we expecting an unrealistic reality?

The main age group target of our show is the youth. This age group is already stressing on their studys as the majority is in college. This age group cannot afford to stay up so late as they have school to go to the next day. The only possible way to get a good amount of this group to be willing to stay up until 11 PM is to air something so captivating that they feel helpless and have no choice but to stay up and watch the show. Right now, the only captivating thing that has been shown recently in the show is yesterday's episode. Other than that, what person from this age group would find interest in a nani plotting to get revenge from a family through the bahu? It is obvious that watching the show online would be the most convenient for this audience as they can catch up on the show at their own time instead of having to stay up late. To sum up what I said, I feel that the time slot and current track are the main thing to be blamed for our diminishing TRPs, but to bring in an optimistic POV, I feel that once Rajveer will enter and Zoya will tell Aditya about the BM, the TRPs will begin to rise again as there is a lot of speculation behind Rajveer's motive for hating the Hoodas and the audience want Adiya to solve the mystery together. 😊

P.S. Sorry for the long post, please forgive me for making you read so much 😆

I agree with u. I had written in another topic that the cvs and the channel are to be blamed for low trps. When it was in the 9pm slot and 9.30 pm slot, the ideal ratings were between 1.5 to 2.0 and BP was doing perfectly well because it's trps were always between 1.5 to 2 for the first 5-6 months. Then they brought in Arshad track. People still gave chance to the show because they expected to see Zoya's pov and her realization of love. But then they casted an average actor, started giving misleading promos, gave more importance to the third wheel and reduced AdiYa scenes. The downfall began. Trps went below 1.5.
Then the channel took stupid decision to change its time slot. After AdiYa marriage, the story was written to attract trp aunties but unfortunately the trp aunties will not be awake till 10.30 to watch this and the youth will not like the drama in the show. Whatever was shown in last 2 weeks, it would have garnered lot of trps in 9.30 slot because trp aunties love watching this kind of drama and not the youth..

Now they're attracting the youth by showing romance, hot scenes of AdiYa. We will get to know if this experiment will be successful or a failure next week.

I've been worried about this time slot since it was announced, who really stays up till 10:30 watching ITV shows unless you're committed to it?
I know for a fact when I used to live with my parents, my mom and I would watch Indian dramas up until 9 and then we were burnt out for the day 😆 . I really think this time slot has a huge affect on the TRPs decline.

Exactly, I feel the group to be blamed for the TRP is the channel itself, the story was being changed mostly on the channels pressure and it was their decision to change the time slot, but I feel we might get an increase next week. Let's see what happens.

Rajveer is already back, plenty of school and college going kids or youth stay way past 10 or 11 to study. Its those 9 am to 6 pm group who contribute to trps hit the bed early bcos they have to report on time.
I am from Mumbai, most of the households sleep after 11, trains are full even at 8.30 or 9. Maybe other cities the pattern or way of life is different.

Agreed the loss of trps is due to constant change in time slot but colors have this tradition to start their programmes late. Bepannaah also used to get ads aftet 5 mins of telecast , viewers are famous for switching channels.

Then as said earlier misleading promos, tracks not accepted by the viewers, loose end which is left to our imagination, very very unstable fans. A trp system which does have accurate data .great expectation. Every fan who has quit will have his own reason if ones takes a survey.

Now that Rajveer is back, many will still complain.

Well I live in the U.S. so I don't know how things work in India, but it is true that you cannot please everyone. Today's episode brought excitement into a lot of people though so let's see how it works with the TRPs.
