Could part of the reason they promote it through sm is because they know that bp has a huge online following compared to their other shiws so this is where they will get most likes so promote their channel?

Yes shabla bp is not a loss at this point and the channel is benefiting from it.

I want to quote an example of an other show. Behyadh for instance was extremely popular online. I remember as soon as the episode gets uploaded on Sony's yt it used to get at least 3-4 million or in fact more than that in a day. Its online popularity was intact more than Kuch rang too. Considering the global appeal and online popularity Sony decided to extend Behyadh. Plus Sony's weekly shows all have trps in the range of 0-1. YT was a major source Sony earned from with respect to behyadh. The millions of views and likes for behyadh was humognous infact than any other Sony show. Similarly I feel BP's viewership through youtube is extremely high. Mostly, BP is indirectly giving Colors a huge amount of revenue online.

P.s I m saying this all this coz I have seen videos of YouTube stars earning millions through YouTube through views, comments and likes.

I m sure they must be earning hugely from voot as well. Viacom is partners with colors and a huge section of the BP fandom watches BP on voot.
