I have no clue abt beintihaa and what happened to it.BP is the first show I am watching on colors. One more thing people need to understand is sometimes difference with ph and channel can result in shows ending abruptly. Those things are outside the purview of normal data analysis. A good working relation between channel and ph means a show will run longer.

True that. They scrapped swabhiman, which had good TRP's all along because they had a showdown with PH. They were given less than 15 days to wrap up.

Shruti your analysis is just like the way you analyse each and every episode.
I thimk return over investment for colors and majority of the GEC channels are from the ads it generates, it's possible that they were eyeing for big ticket companies who gauge on trps if they have to books spots and with our numbers those companies were going to competition.

I have personally seen ad skins last Saturday while I decided to watch Naagin ( Yes I did bcos I had a gut feeling that BB timings would change and then I saw a one line abt weekend ka vaar, Sat and Sun 9 pm and Monday to Friday 10.30 pm). I think channel itself wasn't sure bcos BP and Roops trp aren't steady, BP was okay but the misleading promos and those those teens who are so very sensitive to each and every track, gave way to the massive fall and overnight, then they changed the strategy ). Or else it was decided if the ratings fall badly then it's BB at prime time as Salman can generate more revenue than BP.

They maybe looking at online sales also bcos once colors had tweeted something abt BP I saw a typical ad coming just like YT videos and then in could see what they had posted. So BP has given way to online ads too.

If BB is starting on 16 then it may end by Jan 16th. They may review the late night shows post that and if BP is under the radar it's possible either if shuts shop by Jan end or Feb end.

Can't really comment on Silsila or Roop bcos these guys sort of understsnd their target audience better than Cinevistaas. Silsila is giving what it's required to give. Cinevistaas managed to turn around with Behyadh but somehow they start with a bang and are not able to sustain, just as per recent trends

Colors might have given a okay ahead to this controversial topic bcos of Behyadh and Jennifer's popularity, I am from Mumbai and if u ask every second teenager , they know who is Jennifer Winget but isnt easy for them to recollect Harshad Chopda they confuse him with Arora , atleast this is the.case in my area

But As of now, Jenshad together has become a brand name and is definitely a very popular jodi that colors have put up till date and they know it and even if fans go haywire , whether positive or negative, colors get publicity ..the channel is very good to Bepannah till date, we need to see post 17th Sept
They organized puzzles and fans were participating eagerly..I was quite surprised. This is what fan pages do every weekend .

This is my pov , never worked with corporates but have friends who talk only in terms of numbers and sales figures, I do learn something from them each day including the tremendous pressure to perform.

beintehaa was really doing well. But in between they made the leads to speperate nd female lead married the third angle which made the show to fall down in trps. After this they shifted the show to 10.30 at which it was getting around 0.9 to 1.1 trp i guess. So fall of beintehaa is not cuz of timeslot but beacuse of tht particular track.

10.30 was final nail in coffin

BI was given 11 pm slot after bb came. N major reason for the trps of that show to fall down was the producer on fb was very rude wen fans asked him not to give talaak n remarriage(halala nikaah) track. He said "i will show watever i want to" n blocked many zaya fans for continously bashing n disturbing him. N he went ahead to shove 3rd mahaan angles marriage with fl after divorce of leads n we thought that even after divorce they will show something like divorce is not valid n not show remarriage bt it happened n so many ppl quit the show becos then they thought nothing was left to ship zaya now as remarriage killed the ship. 😆 n then the old director maan singh(producer of geet show) also left n the other director was not upto the mark n editing was horrible too n even wen zaya reunited the next track was not able to deliver upto the audience's expectation.

Also BI was supposed to b 14 months show too bt channel took the sudden decision to off air it n notice was given just 15 days prior to axing it to the ph. So channel can end the contract anytime they want to.

Sruthi amazing post...i am a research scholar in commerce and analysing numbers is my favourite thing...agree to all your points...no product can be sustained if doesn't give you break even...and BP as of now is not a lose to the channel...BP is only show of its genre right now in colors and jenshad is the most popular onscreen couple...the SM craze for the show is insane...and trust me in its 10 years history colors have never conducted a quiz on Twitter for any of its show...if a show is not giving desired rating in 6 months then channel usually promote them less...but with BP colors are doing their best to protect it...so now let's hope to do our best at new time slot..

U r asking that's why I am saying behir on naagin 3 surbhi jyotshna pearl puri popular more than Jennifer and harsherd as screen pair and naagin 3 trp is also 4.5 on average ...

@harshadacholic cinevistaas give story and not drama. Their shows are good for retrospective analyst.EHT when i watched second time I understood how script was connected. Beyhadh also can be analyzed retrospective and we really understand symbolism better. Bepanbah also if u have a second viewing u will know what I am telling. But Indian audience have no patience for story. They need to know why this happened and that happened immediately. If u read good thriller fiction many things are not told upfront. U don't even know why it is happening.but everything will be tied. Arthur Hailey is a master in this. The first 100 pages of his book u will take 10 days,next 200 pages u finish in a day. And then u understand those first 100 pages. Jeffrey archer is master of deception. So watching a story and watching a narrative drama is different. Sphere origin can do it. The way they changed saraswatichandra. Where was the show that slb directed and what was that was shown by sphere origins. Slb was showing a story sphere origin made it a typical soap which got extended life. Rashmi Sharma anyways can do it.

Yes shabla bp is not a loss at this point and the channel is benefiting from it.
