The reasons were different but so were the actions. Many are saying that adi himself always used to call Pooja ''Cheater'' now when Zoya accused her of being characterless why is he being so reactive? ok let me give you a small example suppose you hate your brother, he always rats you out to your mom, spoils your plans and you literally can't stand him but when your friends call him names will you be able to tolerate it? in your subconscious mind you won't.
Same goes for Adi, yes he hates pooja like anything but he has spent half of his life with her maybe not as a lover but she was his bestfriend in his subconscious mind he still cares for her. And Zoya always hit Adi when he called her names but even Zoya called him names too did he raise his hand on her then? No. today he did it for someone else.

I am not saying Adi's action was justified because '''Jai Ho Equality'', what i am saying is we are over-reacting. Both adi and Zoya has flaws in their characters. These are the realistic characters which make us fall in love with them one day and then make us hate them the other day.Few days back we were praising Zoya for being so concerned about Adi then when she wanted to save Mahi we started to hate her. We were idolizing Adi as the perfect lover because he was ready to sacrifice his freedom for Zoya, because he kept on saying ''Zoya bhi'' to his dad and now suddenly we all are throwing the feminism stones at him. Don't you guys think we should in a way applaud he CVs for creating such realistic characters with whom we can connect? because think for a while how many times did you do things which you were not proud of? So lets just cut them some slack and accept the fact that they are not the ''perfect'' hindi serial beta-bahu they are the ones with flaws. They are humans.

I too am saying the same here.. they are characters and not to be judged.. period.

And that we should not take on this whole feminism/ equality debate to task over this. Coz if we do take that route, then violence or slaps are not justifiable actions from Zoya too.. whatever be the reason..
There is no right reason for a slap or a wrong reason acoridijg to me.m both the sexes should have the same yardstick to toe in terms of all this.. however, this is only my secondary point

My larger one is still that these two are characters and their actions are in line with what they have been so far.m in short, agree with you on lauding CVS for fleshing out real humane characters and not cardboard cutouts

As long as I remember, Adi was the first one to provoke Zoya by rubbing Yash's death on her face.
So technically Adi started this whole blame-game drama & then it continued where now it has reached as stage where even Zoya rubbed Pooja's death on Adi's face in such an offensive way. Just like how it was done to Yash. Saying Yash was depressed point a finger at Zoya too.

I don't understand why is there so much Hulla on precap. Manhandling is a common thing in Asian dramas. Even though it's not considered good, it still excited people to some really pathetic extents.

If I have to rate AdiYa on how sensitive were they to each other's spouses death, then Zoya>Aditya.
Even when Aditya was busy blaming Yash on divorce fiasco, Zoya simply made Adi look into the divorce papers. Zoya never before mentioned Pooja or her death in such a way.

Besides, Zoya just mentioned a situation about how would have Adi felt if Pooja's name was maligned in such a manner. She didn't say Pooja was doing all that.

Couldn't agree with u more. If adi is wrong to just raise his hand, then Zoya also was when she slapped him. I don't like the Hypocrisy

He is impulsive. The fact that he stopped says a lot. And those were some very harsh words.
And to be fair , yash was shown as a greedy ,manipulative , not a characterless person.
Zoya left Adi and his father no option when she refused to testify against Mahi.

You are right about the sequence of events , Arshi and who did the provoking and who bore the brunt of it. infact Aditya himself admitted to papa Hooda that it was his fault all along during the court drama..
But this post is to calm halla around precap saying it's all in line with characters.. so let's not get overtly sentimental or judgemental for that matter.. 😊
