U have a point. Slapping someone is wrong, whether it's a guy who does it to a gal or vice versa.

The first time Zoya slapped Aditya, she was broken, shocked and shattered due to the untimely death of her husband and Aditya was continuously annoying her. That was an instant reaction which she regretted immediately.

The second time she slapped him, Aditya said something even more worst. He said that she couldn't satisfy Yash physically so he went to another woman. No woman in this kalyug will ever tolerate that. She slapped him hard and never regretted.

In all these instances, Zoya reacted when Adi said something to her. In the first instance, he called her bewakoof and gadhi. In the second instance, he accused her of not satisfying yash.

But this time, Zoya didn't say anything to Adi. She said something about Pooja. She questioned Pooja's character and that made Adi angry and he raised his hand.

So that's the difference between Aditya and Zoya. Even if he raised his hand, he stopped himself because he realized he was about to slap a woman he cares and respects more than anyone in his life.

Another difference here is Zoya cannot stop herself from slapping but Aditya does stop himself from harming Zoya.

In the terrace scene, Zoya was being delusional. He got angry with her and pushed her but at the same time, he held her hand tightly because his intention was not to hurt her.

So even if Adi is impulsive, gets angry easily but he does control his anger on time which Zoya can't.

I am just mentioning the difference between Adi and Zoya in these situations.

You said it, Tulip! This is such a good analysis of both of them..

My reason was calling it out is to say neither are correct.. we can't condone Zoya for the slaps and condemn adi for raising his hand. period.

And why gentlemen alone adhere to courtesy and manners.. it's universal.. the behaviour cuts across gender is my point.

Naturally, ladies have lesser muscle strength than men.. unless ladies go to gym. Maybe that's why male gender is not supposed to be physically rash on female gender.

And anger is no reason to show aggression. There are numerous examples where action doesn't have to adhere to emotion. For example, a deer can't use fright as an excuse to not run when a lion is chasing it. Even in wild it is not suitable for survival. I expect human civilizations are better than that.

I would neither justify Zoya nor Adi. Nobody is supposed to behave like that.. especially after becoming friends and ally. Highly disappointed.

Such precaps increase the curiosities of viewers so cvs should give such precaps everyday. Such kind of discussions on sns are actually good for the show. That means the cvs are creating interest in the show for viewers to discuss.😊

Citing fight or flight.. a deer definitely uses flight first and finally with no option, might put up a fight..

Human beings despite all the evolution are animals fundamjetally. The veneer of civilization runs thin and it's a mere cloak.. with due provocation, the cloak falls, resulting in a fight or flight.. depending on the degree of resistance or strength one has towards that provocation.. adi as a character has a short fuse.. and short fuse or temper in itself is not conducive to rational actions..

He doesn't stop to think before hitting an officer in uniform or the consequences of it.. similarly raising his hand against Zoya..
' impulsiveness' exists as a human trait precisely because there are impulsive beings.. such as Aditya and again there is no right or wrong to it.. just as all the other character traits, this is one of it..

Shivin, apologies if my post gave out the impression of fanning a debate.. I was infact trying to bring the forum to a neutral ground citing past examples and that lets not jump the wagon on this one.. and take sides..

Guess my post has not come across as such 😔

I totally agreee with the fact that adi shouldn't have raised his hand on Zoya or even attempted but where were we when Zoya slapped Adi? and that to twice? we instantly started hating adi because he 'attempted'' to slap her but Zoya actually slapped him. The reasons were different but so were the actions. Many are saying that adi himself always used to call Pooja ''Cheater'' now when Zoya accused her of being characterless why is he being so reactive? ok let me give you a small example suppose you hate your brother, he always rats you out to your mom, spoils your plans and you literally can't stand him but when your friends call him names will you be able to tolerate it? in your subconscious mind you won't.
Same goes for Adi, yes he hates pooja like anything but he has spent half of his life with her maybe not as a lover but she was his bestfriend in his subconscious mind he still cares for her. And Zoya always hit Adi when he called her names but even Zoya called him names too did he raise his hand on her then? No. today he did it for someone else.

I am not saying Adi's action was justified because '''Jai Ho Equality'', what i am saying is we are over-reacting. Both adi and Zoya has flaws in their characters. These are the realistic characters which make us fall in love with them one day and then make us hate them the other day.Few days back we were praising Zoya for being so concerned about Adi then when she wanted to save Mahi we started to hate her. We were idolizing Adi as the perfect lover because he was ready to sacrifice his freedom for Zoya, because he kept on saying ''Zoya bhi'' to his dad and now suddenly we all are throwing the feminism stones at him. Don't you guys think we should in a way applaud he CVs for creating such realistic characters with whom we can connect? because think for a while how many times did you do things which you were not proud of? So lets just cut them some slack and accept the fact that they are not the ''perfect'' hindi serial beta-bahu they are the ones with flaws. They are humans.
