Hi guys,
I know I am extremely late in updating this, but a few unexpected things caught up with me and I could not find time and inspiration to write. So after an awesome week of Bepannaah I found a rush to update it. So here I am. 😆
Enjoy.
Please, buddy Keechu.Pms for receiving Pms when I update.
Part 5
"Good night, Yash
Yash walked out of the car without looking back. He knew he was wrong avoiding Arjun but that time the tranquility his room offered felt serene to him. He would rather stay alone than being with Arjun who had indirectly spoiled his mood.
Solitude is sometimes a blessing.
Frustration and hurt swept through his veins as he made his way towards his adobe, his shelter. Slamming the door shut behind him, he separated himself from the happy world, who mocked him. With each step he took, the darkness evaded his personal space and for the first time, he was afraid. The living room was devoid of a single human being, he saw loneliness calling him to its lap from each nook and corner. He had been there without a companion but never had he felt abandonment. Adi abandoned him. Arjun abandoned him. Zoya abandoned him.
In a normal day, he would have gone to switch on the lights but that day no artificial light could brighten up his life like Zoya could and as she has gone, taking every bit of ray, he restricted himself to welcome the light. He dumped his body on the couch and his mind ran to the day everything began.
"Zoya,
That day, she was making a paper flower when I found her in the back garden. She looked beautiful in her yellow long top and faded blue jeans. She had always been that person to me who I could rely upon after Adi. If Adi was my brother from another mother then Zoya was my best friend. It had always been, Adi, Arjun, Zoya and me. We four were inseparable. There would not be any Yash Arora if Adi and Zoya had never trusted me. I did not know, when and how I fell for her. When I realized her worth, it felt so real, so inevitable. It felt so bound to happen. It was bound to happen for me to fall for Zoya. Adi was the first person I told, not even Zoya knew about my feelings then. If Adi had not given me the courage, I would not have confessed and asked for marriage on that day in the back garden of Hooda mansion.
"Yash, you want something?
She smiled, patting the place beside her. My heartbeat rose as I walked up to where she was. Keeping what Adi said in mind, I sat there on the green grass facing her. Her eyebrows scrunched up together watching my action. She looked so clueless. If she knew how nervous I was, she would have made a scene laughing at my expense. That was my first time in almost everything. Zoya was my first crush, she was my first love and that was my first time confessing it. That was my first time in proposing too. I had never felt that apprehensive in her presence. I had never felt that insecure. I neither felt that unsure in my whole life. I expected the worse but I got the best.
She said yes to me. She agreed to marry me.
Did I miss to read the uncertainty in her eyes?
Yash never controlled Zoya and he had always been supportive through all her ventures. When he never tried to put his decisions on her, why did not she speak to him about the man owned her heart? He was elated to know about her business tour with Adi but since he left her in the airport, his heart was going haywire and what Arjun told made it worse.
Yash wanted to call Zoya and hear she telling Arjun was wrong and that he was so wrong to claim something like that. The sympathy Arjun's face held killed him a thousand times. Zoya loves someone else' his words felt so wrong but at the same time it felt right, it felt so freaking right to him that his fiance loves someone else.
What has gotten into me?'
Yash wondered, silently asking no one in particular. The dark humid air stared at him.
You were expecting it, Yash.' His mind told the unavoidable.
He chuckled at the veracity of that.
You love her,' His heart jumped in to defend.
And she, does she love you?' The mind attacked again.
His beating heart did not have an answer to that. He knew and he had accepted that Zoya never loved him beyond friendship a long time ago but she never stopped him from anything. Her answer always had been a yes'.
He jumped from the couch and moved towards his room when his conscience mocked him, having enough of the drama.
Are you really that selfish to take away her happiness for the sake of your love, Yash? You cannot avoid it anymore; you will be guilty for your lifetime if you separate her from her love.'
He made up his mind; all he wanted was her truth and the man. He drafted a message. Sending that to a person, who can help him anytime on any matter he kept the phone near his pillow to hear if he gets a reply by any chance. Every five minutes, he kept glancing at the mobile, earning a chuckle from himself. Anticipating a reply Yash waited for the sleep to consume him.

At the airport!
"Zoya, your coffee,
Adi spoke startling Zoya, who was busy in her thoughts. By her sudden reaction, he knew he just halted her thought process. A small smile slipped onto Adi's lips when she said thanks while taking it from his hands. She placed it on the table and went back to her dream world.
That was all new to them, that Zoya and Aditya, they were never like that, they were the crazy friends who every time had something to talk, something to do. They were never been awkward around each other, but things had changed so as their relation.
"Zoya, the flight delayed for half an hour more. Adi tried to start a conversation with her; he wanted to make sure that she was fine. Despite being a complete jerk in the past few days, he just could not stop himself from hearing her voice.
"Okay. Came her famous uninterested reply.
"What happened to this girl?" Adi muttered, irritated.
He rolled his eyes at her attempts to avoid a talk. He really wanted to talk to her as he blamed himself for her sudden change of moods. Determined to bring the old Zoya back Adi slowly stood up from his chair but a voice that most probably his phone made interrupted him. Leaving the matter incomplete, he took his phone out of his jeans pocket. He had a new message from Yash.
Adi blinked his eyes seeing an unexpected message at the odd hour of the night.
"I will just be back, Adi walked away while Zoya kept her gaze on him.
He walked towards a less crowded corner and opened the message when he reached near the window.
Hey Adi,
I know you can't reply to this message right now. If it was about me I would have waited a bit longer but this is for Zoya, Adi. I cannot take the risk anymore. I know I am more of a friend to her than a fiance, but don't you think it is high time that she accept me and that I love her? I am ready to give her all the time she wants, but I want to give her that time only if she wants it, I can't push it on her, right? Please talk to her Adi, please for me. I need an answer. Does she love anyone? Arjun told something like that.
Spare me for being so official,'
He read it once, he read it twice, he read it thrice, and he read it for the times he does not remember. He thought, reading it repeatedly will make it disappear, but it did not, it was still there, a message from Yash, something he expected but never wanted.
Adi dialed a number in utmost rage. People looked at him weirdly, seeing how hard he was punching on the mobile screen keys.
"What the f**k did you do Mr. Arjun Hooda? He whisper-yelled. He did not want to create a scene there; it would have been a nice show if he yelled at his best friend over the phone, calling profanities.
"Who is this? Arjun asked in his sleep-dripped voice. Adi was vexed. Adi wanted to avoid only one thing in the world and it was what just happened, it was out in the open air and full responsibility goes to Arjun, who had the audacity to sleep after throwing such a powerful bomb. Adi boiled realizing Arjun was sleeping.
"Get up from your damn sleep man and answer my question.
"Adi? Arjun questioned, confused. He had picked up his phone without checking the caller.
"Yeah, Aditya, the one you messed with.
Grasping the intensity of the situation Arjun roused and sat on his bed. It was just ten minutes ago, he reached home after dropping Yash off. For a few minutes, Adi did not hear anything, but just some shuffling sounds.
"I am sorry bro, I know you are angry, but it had to be done. Arjun reasoned with a valid reason even Adi knew that. Just the situation was wrong.
"What had to be done, Arjun? You messed it up. Taking a deep breath, Adi controlled his uneven breathing.
"You had messed it up a long time ago man.
Adi could hear Arjun sighing frustratedly.
"But, I had reasons.
"Yeah, if you had reason to mess up some one's life then I also had reasons.
"Arjun... don't be ridiculous, you know why I did what I did. Adi ran his fingers through his dark hair.
"And you also know what I did and why. So just hang up your phone and spend some time with that girl. Arjun demanded in full authority.
"I can't do that. She is my sis... Adi wanted to tell Arjun that, she was his sister in law, but damn it, he could not even think of her like that, then how he could utter that. He gulped down the last part of his sentence.
"Yeah Adi, say it... say that she is your sister in law.
Adi cringed at him. The way Arjun said it was weird and the way Adi felt was weirder. He stood silent after that. Adi can never say that and Arjun knew it.
"What happened, cat caught your tongue?
"Yash sent me a message, he needs my help.
"What did he want?
"He wants me to help him to find the one she loves; maybe, he wants me to help him with something you said. He might be confused now.
Adi had known Yash long enough to know the reason behind his message. How could he help him on that when the man Yash looking for was him?
"Hahaha, that's epic! He asked that to the one she loves. Yash burst out laughing.
"Stop it, Arjun, it's not funny.
"Or it's what? It is insane, so do as I say. Don't reply to his message now, I will handle it... and please forget for some time that Zoya is your sister in law, and it's not like she is married. Treat her as your friend; the old Zoya, she needs it. She needs you, Adi. He literally begged.
"But, I can't Arjun; I can't give her hopes and then break it later.
"It is just a chance you got, away from everything that held you back from loving her, so use it wisely. Now hang up and go to her. Bye, take care.
Arjun then just hung up the phone, leaving Adi alone there with his thoughts,

"Good morning, sir, good morning, Ma'am, What can I do for you?
Seeing Aditya and Zoya at her counter the receptionist of the hotel stood up with a heartwarming smile.
"We have a booking on the name of Mr. Hooda, Aditya informed her with the same smile.
"Yes, sir, let me check. Replying to them politely, she went through her system and after a while, she looked up from her system, "Two rooms?
"Yeah,
"I thought you guys are a couple. She muttered under her breath and turned to take the keys.
"Excuse me, Zoya narrowed her eyes at the receptionist.
"Nothing Maam, have a wonderful time here. And please let us know if there are any problems. Giving the keys, she smiled at them.
"Thank you and sure, Zoya replied and let Aditya lead her to the room.
"Adi I can't get into this thing Zoya stated stubbornly standing in front of the elevator. Elevator freaked her. She gets dizzy and nausea whenever she gets into that.
"Ohh, I forgot, Aditya said,
Zoya looked at him with an unreadable expression. "You forgot about that?
"Zoya I didn't mean it that way, I mean... he stuttered to find something to say in his defense.
"No need to say anything, I will come from the stairs, you can use the lift.
Before Zoya leaves from there, Aditya caught her wrist. "The rooms are on the eleventh floor, you will be exhausted. She looked at her wrist and then to his eyes, he was eyeing her wrist secured in his palms. Noticing her gaze, he left her hand as if it burned him.
"You care?
"Huh?
"You care that I will be tired if I use the stairs?
"Of course, what if you fall down out of weakness then I will have to worry about that also. Leaving her there, he walked into the lift and waited by placing his palm on the door to keep it open.
The next few minutes they were silent, grasping the things that happened before. Zoya kept eyeing her wrist as she could feel the warmth of his palms on her. As the lift started to move nausea hit Zoya. Feeling dizzy, she shifted her head to see Adi already looking at her worriedly. Smiling softly, he placed his hands on her shoulder and slightly pulled her to his side. Plastering her to his body, she placed her hands on his chest and stood there staring at him, who was gazing at her with love and care.
