The Parallels Between The Leads!

Ok, so we have the 2 main incredibly talented leads and the other 2 supporting leads. And all are so radically different from each other.

Zoya and Pooja
- Pooja seems to be in charge of the relationship as the more domineering one., She is the responsible one who takes care of all of Aditya's needs including buying stuff like his pasand ka toothpaste! She is independent and has her own thing to do in life! She seems disciplined and follows an organized lifestyle. She thinks of her hubby as a child and does not really enjoy the fact that he is not acting grown up as she points it out to him sweetly yet multiple times meaning that is an issue with her. She also believes in having boundaries and personal space. She also is more responsible with money as it seems she lends to her hubby at the end of the month mostly, so maybe she earns more.

- Zo's entire world is her hubby. She is all about celebrating each day of her life with him. She thinks of him at all times while pottery making, listening to a song. When his alarm rings, she is pleased as she will get to see him now. (i do not why that seemed like a schoolgirl crush to me here). She is so reliant on him so much that she freaks out when he is not there in bed when she goes to check on him. She is the kind who believes in fairy tales and her romantic penchant for the hillside, away from the bustle of the city. She has a lot of respect for her hardworking husband but acknowledges smilingly that her hubby lies to her.

Aditya and Yash
- Yash seems to be disciplined and does not need someone to get him out of bed. He is in control of his life and looks like a man who has a mission. He seems hardworking and is a self-made businessman. He does seem to have a dark side (maybe that was his blank expression in the first couple of scenes that made me think so). He is gentle towards his wife but is spurning her advances. But does mention that he is nice enough to listen to her chatter about this and that every day, meaning he may not really like to listen to her daily stuff and probably would prefer a more intellectual conversation.

- Aditya does not remember stuff that is important to his wife, kind of a mildly neglectful behavior that is. He is afraid of hurting her feelings though and believes he can win her over with his playfulness, which exactly is a behavior she does not approve of. Even though she expresses her dislinke mildly, he is too stubborn to change and informs her that is how it will be forever with them. He also seems to have a temper, though that is directed at his father but that kind of attitude am sure is something she is aware of. He is also capable of saying hurtful stuff both while kidding and when angry. He does not have much regard for an organized life and does not really care about social status and what other people think. He does not believe in any boundaries and thinks that there should not be any space, secret or otherwise in a hubby-wife relationship. He does not lie to her. He does not really care about his job or ditching couple of days from his job.

This much I got from 4 episodes!! We do not know if they were cheating but let's assume they were. Now, based on this info, what could have gone wrong? Looking at it this way, I can see plenty that would have gone wrong!! In future, AdiYa's roles will be reversed as they will be in charge of their relationship and live as equal partners, looking out for each other rather than 1 having to take care of the other. It is going to be intense people!!! And looking at it this way, AdiYa seem to be perfect for each other.

Do add if you think I have missed anything!!

Yes very beautifully put into words.. totally agree with you... pooja and yash are the 'mature & in control' ones while adi and zo still have (or now had) their innocence retained... maybe Yash and Pooja wanted their partners to be more mature and serious about life... have more to their worlds rather than just having it revolve around their spouses... and they found this with each other... the maturity the intellect, the sensibility that they didn't find with their own partners.
Now that Yash and Pooja are gone, and I do believe they were cheating on their partners, Adi and Zoya's drive to prove each other wrong will make them work together... Adi will start to believe in innocence once again dye to Zoya's ocean of innocence and Zoya's blind faith on her husband will break when she finds the truth...bringing them both out of their perfect world into the reality...
I had once read a posy about Love that it's not a fireworks factory, or just an emotion, but rather it's a commitment.. people tend to start seeing their partner's qualities in different lights after a period of time has passed... the stubbornness that was once cute becomes damning... the innocence becomes irritating and stupid seeming.. the playfulness becomes immaturity.. and that's what happened to Pooja nd Yash.. they were so busy falling out of love with their partners that the qualities they fell in love with, they started to dislike those.. and these qualities are such an essential part of Adi and Zo that they are the definitions of these characters in a way... it will be these qualities Zoya's innocence and Adi's childishness that will be cherished by them after they come out of their scornful past

You described them very appropriately! There are plenty of things went wrong in the relationships. Yash found his love in Pooja and vice a versa! Let's see how destiny brings zoya and Adi together

I love the way you have summed them up. It is bang on!!
Zoya- it does feel like she does have a lot of growing up todo. She, I think, had a very sheltered upbringing and given her timid nature, was perfectly content being first, under her father's thumb then under her husbands. She is completely oblivious to the changes in her husband...so much that even while she notices that her husband seems disconnected with her and their relationship, she puts it down to nothing. She happily accepts a ring that is not her size, not given to her, as his anniversary gift to her, completely missing the feeling of discomfort that is visible on his face. Really, Adi's dialogue-the one where he says even if Yash had come home with a lipstick mark on his shirt she would have made herself believe it to be hers, was spot on.
Adi- on the other hand, dissects every innocuous thing and is viewing it through jaundiced eyes after the accident. Every passing remark Puja made seems sinister to him and his mind has already tried and sentenced her. This event proves that though he might seem childish on the exterior, he, in reality, is jaded and old beyond his years mentally.
Adi and Zoya's scenes together are mind-boggling...giving the actors their due, I also think it is because their characters have been etched with amazing clarity. Really looking forward to seeing how they are going to proceed.

@ Bold - I agree wholeheartedly. I am surprised she fell in love and fought against her family to get married to Yash in the first place as she is totally timid but that also shows she is not weak and has the strength to fight for what she believes in. On the other hand, Adi may act childish but it does take maturity to understand what commitment and trust is the foundation of a relationship. Maybe the childish nature is the shield that he holds up to make sure nothing hurts him.

That's totally right! It was my feeling too...but then she herself says that marrying Yash against her family's wishes was the only decision she had ever taken against her family (read abbu). What ever the reason her father was against this match, I am sure it was not something as simple as a different religion or lower status.

I am sure of that too. Her dad did not have problem with Yash for being a Hindu. But he is going to accept Adi waaay better than Yash as he will know his worth.

Agree with your points...I am so tired of opposite attract romantic saga..I am glad zoya and Adhi are alike and I am looking forward to their story...I am eager to know how their relationship is going to be in future and since there is this unpredictability I find it refreshing.

This is an apt analysis
Especially ofbpooja and yash's character fits the bill because we have not seen much of them...explains why they had the affair
