I agree Beintehaa from Race2 is popular. But that's the very reason, it should not be played. When any song is nice, people have it on their I-pods, phones, LTs..& would've already listened to it SO many times, that the essence or the charm of that song slowly begins to diminish. When anything is over used, people get bored of it, over time.
Like I know, every word of that song & that's how many times I've listened to it. I've also gotten bored of it! Now using the same for my precious ZaYa during their romantic scenes, just gets the same boring feeling seep in. I start singing the song along, because my mind already knows every word of it, so this takes the focus or the charm away from ZaYa for me, that moment.
And that's the main thing! That it should highlight ZaYa & not blur them out. I wish they use a fresher, less heard yet beautiful song, who's lyrics, not many would know. Like "Thoda sa Pyaar hua hai", is a beautiful song, but it wasn't so popular until they used it in Kahiin to hoga, for Sujal & Kashish. It became like the Sujal & Kashish theme after that.
So they need to play it smart & not used, such an overly popular song, which has been heard umpteen no.of times by people. In KTH, they evenaltered the lyrics of thoda sa pyaar, to represent how the leads felt at the moment. If BI people can do, something like that, then ZaYa scenes will get elevated to a different level altogether & people will remember them for their distinctness.
