Veer Zaara is a heart-stealer, even today I find myself humming to the tunes, truly magical and soul stirring <3 I know! I used to listen to the BGMs so much when I initially had my hands on them. But I hadnt heard this one for a long time. I wanted to make a VM on the wedding but kept going back which would be the best. This is what I ended up with.

No matter how many times i may watch it, that hug stirs a million emotions, of hurt and comfort, an unspoken plea and a concern. Its actually this hug scene that made me sit and watch all 25 episode of BI on a weekend. This and the music and the chemistry. So yes, I know how special this one scene was. I also loved the fact that it was not the usual hug which is full. This was so simple yet meant so much for both of them.

That frown of disdain on his face as he wore the sherwani, getting ready to be the groom, and Aliya dazed as she stood in her room, her eyes hard.

Then the flashbacks. Aliya's emphasis on Waada, for a moment i stalled. Waada? Are you signifying that she broke her promise? Or that she made one. I felt this Waada was an echo of making the marriage work. What was your intention, am curious to know.. Osman's word. You will have to marry Aliya.

Their acceptance to the wedding, marked by Qubool Hai. Vibrant but those shades of grey...and them sitting side by side next to each other under the dupatta, glancing at the mirror becoming one. The bloom effect, amazing touch. There was such brightness on the screen. It felt right. Them together felt right.

Veer-Zaara tunes were magical, they have a sadness to them and an odd sense of hope at the same time. It reminds me of Dastaan. Okay am deviating. I loved the feel of this VM, tugged at my heart.

You know how this VM could easily reflect that they were forced into the wedding and how sad they were, yet you managed to bring that hope and that feel which Osman had in his heart as he wedded the two. A masterstroke. 👏

Lastly Do i have to mention? A W E S O M E Coloring ! !

Make moree .. !! Keep making! ! 😳

PS: If I love a work I take out the time for it. It's always a pleasure :) I love to admire work of Art, just my username :) And it has been on more than one occasion when I am on a completely different trip than the maker's intention. Let me know when that happens hehe I find it interesting when I get it completely wrong. 😆

As for the other comments you have mentioned, I can say you are partly right. The thing is, this music is very very short. Its barely more than 1.30 mins. I had so many stuffs in my mind. SO many dialogues/lines I wanted to use along with the scenes. But then, I started feeling I wouldnt be letting the music speak for itself. At the end, it was not about how I felt the vm should be, but How this VM will be different to each and every one. A story each can create with the words spoken by the music.

My emphasis on the vaada and nikkah karke were for the 2 instances in their lives, which changed them forever. If Aliya had not made that promise, would Zain had hated her so much? Wasnt her breaking that small trust he made on her do that. And similarly, the decision that Osman made has changed her life. That gave hope for Aliya's father, and in turn she couldnt make him suffer. If Osman had not declared it, who know how things would have gone?

And I had the peak of the music for those 2 words "qubool hai" it was all about their acceptance, why they did it, for who they had to do it, and the sadness.

And I wanted this NOT to be a sad occasion. Which is why I refused to use a dullness or darkness to the VM. I put in gray, but made it all bright. Because, thats the light from the dark, they ARE the light in the dark around them. They just cant see it yet.

I really wish the music was much longer, to add so much more. But then I dunno if would have come out the way it did.

PS: You should actually have your own trip of imagination. That is the beauty of using instrumentals with no lyrics. I always find it challenging, because not only do I make a story, but every person who watches it make their own story. Just the way you shared. It makes me happy that my VM can portray so many angles.
