Though the show on a eagles view looks woven on a Love - Hate relationship which is also the case with multiple currently airing shows or past popular shows..if you get into its execution part..theres hell lot of difference!

In Geet - Hero has a dark past and heroine is pregnant - both have their own pasts

In Madhbala - i dont know

In IPK - hero has a misunderstanding upon which he tries to torture Kushi physically till realisation strucks and then Love follows

In IPK - Ek baar phir - no comments as i myself is in the confused state of Aastha whether they love eachother or hate eachother or what is the reason..

Comming to the point of analysis: All Heroines are common - door mats..no standing up for their rights, no voicing up their thoughts and emotions and still taking all the crap and doing adarsh naari stuff like taking care of house, doing all responsibilties of house though u were the sweet lil girl befire marriage and stuff .Cant relate even 1% with todays character of girls.(may be 40+ or 50+ uneducated ladies might relate to them because they would have seen such scenes happening in their vicinity)

BI is Fresh - Zain hasnt have a backlogs of past, he's immature, carefree, likes to enjoy his life ,modern in thoughts, dont believe in God, dont indulge in anything serious be it life or family or education, takes life as it takes, no big motive or ambition towards life but sensible, caring and knows whats Good and bad . He's not bad to take undue advantage of a girl by any way. He's todays Man.. Every girl who's doing her co-ed from college to working class can relate with his character as we find many like Zain in todays world.

Aliya - is also todays girl. Shes strong,independent, have the wisdom of acting on right, responsible and gives back as she get. she's also highly loved by parents and can understand whats her rights and duties - much similar to todays woman. We can very much see Aliyas in society very often.

With this pair, getting married on a basis of need to show their respective dislikes towards the marriage to exploring that their partners are what they intend to have a partners..if CVs take the route they chose and execute it perfectly showing some compromises, some negotiations and some pleasures they do for making their relation strong, i think this show has huge potential as every couple can relate to them!
