The moment Anirudh saw Vaijyanti in Bondita's room, touching her things, he snapped.
The moment Bondita saw the room, she realized that her Sakha babu loves her more than she thought she loved him. All her things were kept as if they were some treasure, something invaluable and before she could realize, a lone drop of tear made it's way down her left cheek.
" Tumhari himmat kaise hui iss kamre mein aane ki Vaijyanti?" She heard Anirudh roar as he took long strides towards her but before she could even think of saying something, he had started dragging her out of the room, the grip of his his hand on her's so tight that she winced a little but that was it. She was just too overwhelmed to say anything or even react.
" Nikal jao yahaan se aur aaj ke baad kabhi mat aana." Anirudh pushed her harshly that she fell down and broke out of her trance.
It was then she decided to tell him the truth about herself and confront him but before any of that could happen, she heard a painfully familiar voice and her eyes widened in shock. She was busted.
" Toh aise sammaan dete hain Barrister Babu auraton ko." Thakuma said and Bondita forced her eyes shut in irritation. What on earth was she doing here!
Hearing all the commotion, all the Roy Choudharys and Bihari rushed to the main door.
" Tumhari himmat kaise hui yahaan aane ki?" Kaka shouted, looking at Thakuma who got down from her car and so did Chandrachur.
Thakuma walked near Bondita who was still on the ground, waiting for it to open so that she could be swollowed but nothing of such sort happened. Instead, she was pulled up and made to face towards TM.
" Bondita? Teri himmat kaise hui yahaan aane ki?" Thakuma shouted and that is when hell started to break loose.
" Bahu?" Bondita heard kaka, as her eyes watered once again at that love with which he had called her out.
She also heard her Bhaari kaka call her out and Sampoorna but what she smiled at was when Anirudh muttered Bondita.
" Tum kya karne aayi thi yahan? Nikal jao yaha se." She heard Anirudh address her once again as she turned towards him. This time, he didn't look away. He kept looking at her in the eye.
" Jiska samaan itna sanjo kar rakha hai usko itni nafrat se nikaal rahe hain aap Sakha babu? Mai toh bas yahan isiliye." But before she could say a word, Chandrachud interrupted.
" Thakuma, Bondita yahaan mere kehene se aayi thi. Mujhe inn Roy Choudharyion par bilkul bharosa nahi hai. Isliye maine isse khabri banaa kar bheja." He lied, looking at the opportunity to create further misunderstandings between Bondita and RC's.
The moment these words left him, all the Roy Choudharys looked at Bondita, wide eyed. Kaka looked betrayed, so did everyone but Bondita couldn't read any emotion in Anirudh’s eyes. She thought she saw a flicker of hurt pass through his eyes but it was gone as soon as it came.
" Kyu jhooth bol rahe hain aap Jamai babu? Mai yahan apni marzi se aayi thi na ki kisi ke kehene se. Aree aapko toh pata bhi nahi tha." Bondita almost shouted at CC.
" Toh ab tum iss Chandrachud ko bachaane ke liye jhooth bhi bologi? Dikha hi diya na tumne ki tum Krishnanagar waali ho." Anirudh accused her and believed Chandrachud over Bondita, his Bondita and she could take anything but she would not tolerate her Sakha babu misunderstanding her and so she lost her patience.
" Toh ab aap meri baat par vishwaas naa karke, iski baaton par vishwaas karenge Sakha babu?" She blowed at him pointing towards CC whose ego looked bruised but Bondita couldn't care less.
" Bondita, bahut ho gaya. Chal yahan se." Thakuma intervened and started to drag her towards the car but Bondita wasn't in the mood to obey today.
" Nahi. Aaj toh yahaan baat hokar rahegi. Haath chodiye mera." She said, jerked her hand away and walked back to the Roy Choudharys.
" Boliye na Sakha babu, aapko kyu aisaa lagta hai ki main Krishnanagar waali hoon? Boliye na!" Bondita screamed in anger. The anger and frustration she was holding inside of her since she returned from London.
" Toh kya nahi ho tum Krishnanagar waali? Koi rishta nahi hai tumhara Sumati maa, Thakumaa aur iss Chandrachud se?" Anirudh shouted equally in anger.
" Rishtaa hai Sakha babu, bilkul hai. Maa ne janm diya hai mujhe, beti hoon mai unki. Unse zyada mai kisi se prem nahi karti. Thakumaa se bahut lagaav tha pehele. Aur jamai babu, inko toh mai theek se jaanti tak nahi. Par aapko, iss poore parivaar ko mai itne acche se jaanti hoon jitne acche se shaayad main apni maa ko bhi nahi jaanti. Yeh rishte din se dil tak ke hain." She replied, looking at all of them.
Anirudh didn't need absolutely any proof to trust her word. He knew she was not lying, he knew his Bondita but right now, she has to leave and this is what he knew too. But before he could say a single word, Bondita did.
" Are Thakumaa aur jamai babu toh kya, mere bhagwaan bhi aakar mujhe bole ki aap logon ke saath dhoka karun toh bhi nahi karungi, kabhi nahi aur meri dugga maa yeh baat acche se jaanti hain. Baaki aap mein se koi maane ya naa maane. Mai toh bas yahaan isliye aayi thi ki jaan sakun ki aakhir aisaa kya ho gaya hai ki Sakha Babu jo 8 saal pehele mujhse mile bina hi London se chale gaye the taaki hum kamzor naa pad jaye woh aaj mere lautne ke baat meri shakal tak nahi dekhna chahte hain? Aise toh meri ek ek cheez itni sawaar ke rakhi hai par mujhse kehte hain ki nafrat karte hain? Kyu Sakha babu, kyu?" Bondita has completely broken down. She felt her heart breaking into a million pieces, shattering bit by bit as she lost her balance and fell down once again.
Anirudh then knew that he had lost the battle which was going within him since he heard Bondita was back. His heart won and so did his love. He lost to himself as he knelt down in front of Bondita, his Bondita.
" Utho Bondita." He heard himself saying as he wrapped his arms around her shoulder to support her.
Bondita wiped her tears, tried to collect herself and stood up, this time deliberately avoiding Anirudh’s eyes. She was angry and she had every right to be and took two steps away from him.
" The next time she looked up, she saw kaka standing in front of her.
" Jaanti ho, naajaane kyu tumhare haweli mein kadam rakhte hi ahsaas ho gaya tha ki Bondita aas paas hai. Yeh jo dil se dil tak ka rishta hai na, sab bataa deta hai." Kaka said as she kept her head on her chest and he kept a hand on her head.
" Bondita.....chal yahan se abhi ki abhi." Thakumaa shouted in anger and she walked to her and started dragging her once again. This time, she didn't put in any efforts to stop her but Anirudh had other plans.
" Ruk jaayiye Thakumaa. Yeh aapki haweli nahi hai jo jab jiska man kiya chal aaya aur jab man kiya toh chala gaya." Anirudh said as he held Bondita's other hand to stop her.
The slightest of his touch sent shivers down Bondita's spine.
" Haath chodo Bondita ka Barrister Babu." Chandrachud stepped in.
Anirudh, who didn't pay one singe heed to CC just pulled Bondita towards him firmly yet gently.
" Bondita." CC tried to threaten her but can a hyena ever tame a lioness?
" Jamai babu, main jitni Krishnanagar ki hoon na, usse kayi zyada Tulsipur ki hoon aur mujhe mere parivaar se koi khatra nahi hai. Apne sawaalon ke jawaab le lun phir aajaungi." She replied firmly, as if challenging CC to cross her.
" Chalna toh yahan se padega tumhe Bondita. Yaa toh marzi se ya bal se." He said, trying to grab her wrist but Anirudh held his hand.
" Bondita ko haath lagaya toh woh haath kat jaayega, yaad rakhna Chandrachud." He said, taking a step towards him.
" Ab yahaan se chalte bane aap log. Bondita ko jab aana hoga, woh aa jayegi." This time Sampoorna was to say as she walked to Bondita and embraced her in her arms.
Seeing no other option, the two of them had to leave with their men.
" Andar chal Bondita." Sampoorna said but Bondita was being stubborn.
" Nahi didi. Pehele Sakha babu se kahiye ki mere prashno ki uttar dein." She replied adamantly.
" Bondita, andar chalo. Mai sab bataunga." Anirudh was the one to reply but she won't give in as she kept standing here, folding her hands.
" Ghar chalo Bahu.....Bondita." Kaka corrected himself but she nodded in a no slightly, looking towards the ground.
" Abhi bhi utni hi ziddi ho tum." Anirudh sighed as he took her hand in his and started walking inside the haweli.
Anirudh, for once was happy to loose a battle as it was a battle within and it involved having his Bondita near him.
Bondita was going to get answers and her Sakha babu had finally given in. She was happy about that!
