Part 42

At the restaurant
"Thanks Arav, but you could have let the valet open my door." Maya says as Arav comes and opens her door.

"I felt like it." Arav says as he offers her his hand.

"Thanks." Maya says putting her hand into his.
They both walk into the restaurant and wait for someone to seat them.

"Do you think Sanvi and Vikram are here yet?" Maya asks looking around.

Arav takes her face into his hands. "Don't worry about them. They'll be here soon. Tonight is just about me and you okay?"

Maya looks up at him. "Okay."

The hostess comes and seats them at a table. "Thank-you." Arav says tipping her some money, before sitting down.

"Very Sauv." Maya smiles.

"I know." He smiles at her as the waitress hands them their menu's. "So what do you feel like having?" He asks after she leaves.

"Anything, what do you like here?" She asks him.

"Whatever you want, order it." Arav says.

"I'm just asking your opinion Arav. I personally love Dal Makhni, what about you?" Maya asks him.

"I like the yellow dal better, so we can order both." Arav says.

"I guess so." Maya gets the feeling Arav's acting more distant. "Something wrong?"

"No. Why'd you think that?" He asks her back, smiling his heart melting smile.

"Well you seem kinda outta it now. You were fine before, but ever since we sat down...you keep acting nervous." Maya tells him.

"Oh I'm sorry; I'm just looking around for a waiter. Need to order drinks don't we?" Arav smiles.

Maya smiles back. "Sure."

Sanvi and Vikram

"Oh wow Vikram, so dressy?" Sanvi asks as Vikram rings her bell.

She eyes him up and down in his nice navy black sports jacket.

"Thank-you Sanvi. And might I add, you look breath-taking as well." He says taking her hand in his and kissing the back of it.

"Itna formal kyun?" Sanvi smirks.

"Because a gem like you deserves a perfect gentleman!" He winks at her. "Shall we?" he gives her his arm.

Sanvi smiles and takes his arm as he pulls her door shut.

"You're not feeling awkward over this whole thing na?" she asks him as they drive towards the restaurant.

"Over what whole thing?" He asks her.

"This whole kinda supervising their date?" Sanvi says.

"Is that what we're doing?" Vikram laughs. "I thought we were having a date of our own?" He puts his hand on hers.

"Vikram woh to hain, but still...you know what I mean." Sanvi says.

"Well me and Arav actually talked about it, we're going to pretend we're both alone, and not in the same restaurant." Vikram explains.

"I like that idea." Sanvi says, smiling.

"I thought you would. How about we don't even go to the restaurant and just sit around at home?" Vikram winks at her.

"Ha—ha—ha no! Now drive." Sanvi makes him face the front again.

They both laugh and finally arrive at the restaurant.

Very short I know. But I'm not really feeling upto typing it right now. So please forgive me!
