yeah rajeev was his father for 21 years, however rajeev had never love samrat as a son, that's why samrat hates him. as for stabbing him, maybe at that time samrat was just emotional and irrational and at that state he was overwhelmed by his hatred and anger and stabbed rajeev. maybe he didn't mean to stab rajeev and killed him.
