Since his family is from Punjab, but his family moved to Bengal long time back and so he was brought up there.

Divyanka Tripathi is a hindu (brahman) Tripathi is a hindu brahman name derived from sanskrit, and tripathi is derived from trivedi from vedas. Thats what my mom told me. So she is Hindu.
