Part Twenty- Six
It was Ankiet and Babuji.
" Amar yeh hai Mr. Singh, Sindooraji ke..,"
" Pati," Amar and Divya finished at the same time.
Babuji looked stunned for a moment before thinking maybe they had met him in Delhi.
"He wishes to speak to you two, afterwards Amar, you have to go sleep in the other room," he stated firmly.
Amar blushed. Divya nudged him. However they turned solemn, seeing Ankiet lingering at the door. Divya realized he was hesitant because she had freaked out when she had met him in the market a few months earlier.
" Please come in and have a seat," she insisted.
He walked in and they both took blessings from him.
" Khush ro," he stated.
They got up and took seats across from him.
Ankiet eyed them both carefully. He wanted to catch Sindoora but he also wanted her to see her defeat blow up in her face.
" I wanted to ensure the plan is going right. Bharat will be here for the wedding. I need Amar to come with me to ask the police commissioner to delay Samrat's bail. Sindoora will get stuck there for some time . In the mean time your marriage ceremony will start. By the time she finds the venue she will be too late to stop your wedding," Ankiet stated.
Divya placed a hand on Amar's.
" Be careful, don't let anyone follow you to the mandir," she stated.
" Don't worry Divya. I'll make sure no one follows us. You just make sure to leave for the mandir on time. We cannot risk Sindoora seeing that you are fine. If she realizes she may try to ruin things right before they completely turn in our favor," Ankiet stated.
Divya nodded.
Ankiet bid them good night and hinted for Amar to leave with him.
Amar blew her a kiss when Ankiet wasn't looking.
She blushed before she went to get ready for bed.
The next morning, at seven am, while Divya got ready for the big day, Amar and Ankiet went to the police station.
The commissioner agreed to delay Samrat's bail for two hours after Sindoora was planning to get him out.
The men hurried back to get ready. Amar left with his family first. Bindiya and Divya had gotten to the mandir earlier with Kamna and Bharat meeting them there. Rajeev and Mahua had a train after Sindoora and Chandra were due to leave.
The wedding venue was almost complete. Amar waited impatiently for Ankiet to arrive at the mandir.
" Chintu have you seen Ankiet Uncle anywhere? He hasn't come here yet," he said worried.
Chintu frowned.
" He said he needed to do something before coming here. Hopefully his work is done before the wedding rituals start," he said.
Meanwhile, Ankiet grabbed a gun from the old haveli. He tested it out,. It still worked.
" Good you when Sindoora comes I can point this at her. She'll watch them finish their wows and feel totally defeated. Then the police will take her away, back to Delhi where she belongs," he thought to himself.
Some time later, Sindoora and Chandra sat in their car feeling very annoyed. Soon she decided to ask Chandra to wait here and she went to search for Amar and Divya. The house was vacant. She was fuming and spotted a neighbor just heading out.
Sindoora smiled wickedly.
" Excuse me. Do you know where this family is?," she inquired.
" Woh Shivji aur Paravtiji ki mandir mein kisi ki shaddi hai aaj," the older man said before walking away.
Sindoora smiled and rushed over to her car . She barked at the driver to hit the road. Soon they were there and she smiled to herself as she sat in the car. She was about to slide to the other door and get out when she felt something cold pressed to the back of her head.
