Part Twenty- Four
Meanwhile Sindoora awakened with a bloated stomach and immense headache at ten am. She looked at the time and was startled that she had been out so long.
Her chief chamchi, Chandra entered the room with an intense expression on her face. She was twiddling her fingers nervously, knowing her sister would be really angry after she discovered the truth.
Sindoora grimaced feeling very constipated.
"What was in that food last night, Chandra? I feel so awful," Sindoora commented.
Chandra wasn't sure what to say. She was scared her sister would lash out at her for everything going wrong. Amar and Divya were gone. She had no idea where they had gone so she had no information to give and besides most of their goons were injured in Beneras when Samrat had brought them to help get Divya from there a month, and then some got arrested. Very few remained.
Sindoora winced before running towards the bathroom before her sister could answer.
Meanwhile back in Beneras, by noon Amar and Divya had awakened and freshened up. They decided to visit temples to pick one for their wedding. They would have a small engagement ceremony the following evening, and two days from now the wedding.
They called Bharat and discussed the final stage of the plan. Rajeev and Mahua would come to Beneras for the wedding.
"I'll tell Mahua tomorrow night. Sindoora just got up a few hours ago. She hasn't emerged to the dinning hall yet. I presume Chandra hasn't been able to open her mouth yet," he quipped.
The couple had to laugh at this. It was all good in favor of their planning. It would take Sindoora a few days to be well enough to travel, which was all good for their plan. She would come to Beneras to finish them again, but this time she would not be successful.
The couple explored the nearby temples, asking priests where they could have their wedding in two days time.
Most of them had religious events or weddings already happening. Then they approached the one where Divya and Amar had exchanged garlands by "accident". Divya felt that this one is where they should get married. She looked at Amar and he seemed to share her feelings.
This is where their love story all began and this is where they would wed.
"I guess everything was fated," Divya commented as they sat near the Ganga ghat later that evening.
Amar nodded.
"I never thought we would go through so much to get married. I hope this time we actually get to experience all the joys we missed out on last time," he stated. He smiled at her with a mischievous glint in his eyes.
She stared into his eyes before suddenly nudging him.
" Tum phi na!," she playfully punched him in her arm.
Meanwhile back in Delhi âŚ
" I want the results of that lab test as soon as possible," Sindoora ordered as the doctor left.
After spending three hours that morning in the bathroom, she had told Chandra to get her a doctor as soon as possible. The doctor had taken a blood sample along with her vitals.
Now Sindoora wondered where Amar and Divya had gone. It was now after eight pm. Neither of them was in sight. The house was also too quiet today.
Sindoora turned to Chandra.
" Woh dono kahaan hai? I need to convince everyone that Divya is unstable and need a mental asylum," Sindoora stated.
Chandra grimaced.
" Chandra go see where they are. We should be keeping tabs on them. We cannot let this opportunity pass," Sindoora declared.
She swallowed hard before answering.
" Sindoora Didi, woh yahaan nahin hai,"
" Kya?," Sindoora turned around quickly and stared horrified at her sister.
" What are you saying? Don't we have anyone watching them?," Sindoora inquired.
Chandra shook her head.
" Most of our goons are out of commission. Samrat is in jail and Bharat is out of station," she quipped.
Sindoora scowled.
" Okay just let me know what the doctor says when she calls. I need to know what caused me to sleep so long. Drats I need the restroom again!" she yelled before running off.
