Divya sighed reluctantly as Amar's car slid to a stop in front of her house. She did not want this night to end. She felt as if she were Cinderella and Amar were her Prince Charming. She smirked. Of course, she had no evil stepsisters and her life was more fulfilling than Cinderella's ever had been. But...she just didn't want this night to end. It was as though it was all a dream and he would disappear. And allowing him out of her sight was like giving him a key to the disappearing door. She didn't want that.

She blinked as Amar waved his hand in front of her face, "Hellooo..."

Divya smiled and bit her lip sheepishly, "Hi..."

"We're home."

Home. Home felt so much nicer when he said it.

She looked out the window and nodded, "Yep."

"So I guess this is..."

She couldn't let him finish it. She just couldn't. She quickly leaned across the seat and brushed her lips across his. Uh oh, she did not just do that. She did NOT just do that. She pulled away slightly and looked at him. The soft smile on his lips and the curious twinkle caused her to blush. She hoped the darkness concealed the rising red in her cheeks.

Letting out a soft sigh she turned to look at her house again, "I should probably get going. Mom's probably worried..."

Her words trailed off as she felt his hand reach for hers. He gently pulled her sleeve up and looked into her eyes. She could drown in those dark pools. Still looking at her, he kissed her wrist and turned it over. She shivered. Sliding a pen out of his pocket, he scribbled a phone number across her arm, all the while not taking his eyes off hers. She nodded at the silent request to call him. Opening the door, she stepped out and looked at him one last time. He winked as the door was closing and called out, "Good night, princess."

That night, Divya began a journal - she vowed it would entail the journey of her life, the life that began with Amar and would end with him. She only had a small entry for that night.

You told us not to be mad at Amar, but at this point its hard not to...what happened....can't wait to know more... Is it because she unmidfully washed her hands and didn't have the number anymore..and he waited and waited and then left without saying bye thinking that she doesn't love him that much...l am going crazy thinking what'll happen next...

Ive been waiting to comment on this, cos I read one part last week and then had to run away cos of my exams.. so, finally, I've caught up, and all I can say is... WOW. 😳 You've put me into some kind of trance, I feel so dreamy when I read the flashbacks!!
