What right does Divya have to take a decision on Amar's behalf ? Whether Amar confessed his love for her or not is seperate issue......all she knows is that a girl in the village , Bindiya loves Amar very much . So ok.....does this necessarily mean Amar MUST love her back in return ? What about his choice in the matter ? Should he have this choice or no ? Divya is law student na ? She does understand about freedom of living ? Who is Divya to promise Bindiya that Amar and Bindi will be together ?That choice is purely Amar's alone ! Neiither can Bindiya force it on him , nor Divya ! No female can force a man to accept her ....and vice versa ....let the man decide ! Sacrifices shud be made , but not stupidly , for loveless marraiges r even more terrible !

Interesting argument but there has to be some kinda a drama, sacrifice of true love, etc...

She is not forcing any right on anyone. At the moment she doesn't even realise that she loves Amar. Divya only knows that Bindiya has made her the 'villain' in the story, she feels guilty for coming between two friends. Does her 2 week friendship beat a lifelong friendship? That is her confusion.

Reemz...when u put it this way , i agree with u . Yes , she is confused . But about her own feelings for Amar .
What she is not confused about is Bindiya's feelings for Amar . Divya knows clearly by all that sobbing that Bindiya did that Bindiya loves the man.
She also knows that forget loving , Amar is indiffrent to Bindiya . Even about this part , Divya isnt confused .
So wasn't it sensible to simply let things take their course and tell Bindya that Im not even in the rat race ....and you can go ahead and have a shot ....but decision will be ultimately Amar's alone ? But as Veronica rightly said ....drama has to be there !

Koolsadhu I agree with you, as you have pointed out Divya is a NRI Lawyer, so this kind of behaviour can not be expected of her. Love is when two person want to be together and it is mutual, but no matter how much "junoon" there is, if it is one sided then it not called love it is called infatuation. Being a NRI lawyer Divya should understand that Bindya's feelings are only infatuation there is no love in between Bindya and Amar. Thus Divya's promise to Bindya can only be regarded as desi melodrama. I guess the writers never met a successful NRI female.

Hang on a sec, what does love have to do with being an NRI law student? I am one yet I understand why Divya did this. If she isn't sure about her feelings, why would she want to come between a potential love angle (We know AD are destined, they do not). Its nothing to do with being a NRI lawyer, you're making it sound as if we are heartless people.

What love are you talking about, she has witnessed it herself that Amar doesn't love Bindya, and by her actions we all have witnessed that Divya also loves Amar. All that the writers want to do is appeal to the desi viewers who value sacrifice more than logic or even love.

Love usually never follows logic. I don't think Divya is sacrificing her love, especially since she doesn't realize her love. For her she is a guest, and she feels that she has come in between two friends. Like Bindiya told her, that since she's come Amar has been only with her, and has started ignoring Bindiya. So she thinking logically how can someone fall in love with someone in such a short time. So she probably thinks that Amar is mistaking infatuation or love, for whatever reason. It's not about making sacrifices.

She has seen that Amar gets irritated by Bindiya but what about the time when she was not there to see their relationship? According to Bindiya, when Divya hadn't entered their lives, Amar used to at least talk to her, play games with her etc. So Divya will think that Amar's irritation with Bindiya is due to her. Plus to an on-looker, Amar and Bindiya seem like the simpler option. Their families would agree to their marriage, the two have been childhood friends....and Divya thinks that she might have come between the two.
