She's doing that accent for purpose, i'm not trash talking her accent i'm not like that. I'm just saying at the BEGINNING of the show when chandra talked her "innocent" goofy english with a phony accent people were all like: why is she talking like that it's just stupid. And now when divyas doing exactly the same thing people are defending her, obviously because she's the main character, and are saying it's a cute accent, i like it

Thats just a huge generalisation. I personally dont remember making any comments on Chandra. And on any forum ofcourse there are going to be biased opinions, thats why its a forum.

I dont have a problem with the accent, bas. If the Brit members are ok with it then whats the problem?? Its us who should have a problem if it was that obvious. But it isnt.

I didnt even want her to come from UK/America or whatever. She could have been educated in some other part of Mumbai. But one thing is for sure that the accent will phase out as Divya remembers her past life. I dont think its going to be an issue in a few days times.

Well there's no point in wasting so much time talking about it, cause the creatives aren't going to change anything anyways. 😛

divs baby, please please please lose the accent. it is not suiting your persona one bit. if you must keep the accent, atleast keep it matching to what Confused Desis outside of India do. Right now, its sounding more like Confused Indian in India (oh how i detest the phoney hindi used by my fellow-indians. airr-india ki fligh paunch do teen udhan baarrney ko tayyar hai, kripya kursi ki peti baand lijiye said in the most Hinglish accest as possible). after seeing you in a pure desi ghee format this new margarine I Can't believe its not Butter is not sitting well with my digestive system.
I cringe when I watch Divs act, with her faux accent and her clothes - again warning to Divs babe, please dont end up like a behenji trying too hard to look modern. Please wear some jeans and simple white T-Shirts at home, thats what Phoren-returned kids do at home and please lose the accent. But I liker her hair,its very becoming and flattering. She is very pretty no doubt.

to me it looks like simi garewal is speaking. seems like Divyanka has taken lesson from her or is inspired from her.
