I agree the accent sounds more american than british. Since I am American, I have hard time understanding the British accent. I had to watch Bend Like Beckham with subtitles to even understand what they are saying. I am ok with the accent.

To me it didn't sound British either. The first few lines she said were dubbed by someone else though...

She still did a marvelous job though. 😳 👏

come on guys... this is someone from india acting to be a person from England .... i agree that it wasnt the best one... but i was a fairly good attempt... 👏 👏 2 thumps up to her👏 👏 and lets NOT compare her to Katrina... b/c Katrina is born n raised in England...it's natural...like it was for me long time ago....but it got wrecked after coming here😡 ..loll 😛 😛

But I agree with some of the others...they didnt have to make her British...They could've just made her a girl from a rich family in India. That would've been easier for D na? 😛 But anyways, it'll be nice to see Divyanka's improvement with this character down the line. 👏 I know she'll do a wonderful job as always.😃

she played the character real well i thought she willbe real bad a a london return but no she did excellent work.. she has stayed true she has not adapted bad maaners... u no whn samrat ws givign her the cake she told him to give it to his parentd.. true vidya

I didnt see a difference, but whatever the case, I saw that Divyanka was really trying hard and she is doing a great job at it. Divya has a totally different character than that of Vidya, and I was totally able to distinguish that. Great job to Divyanka for being able to bring out a whole different character into light 😃

i didnt see ANY british accent at all..but with whatever accent she was speaking..it was cute but sounded a little wierd also...i guess mayb we're too used to the Vidya's innocent voice that now we might be hearing the real Divyanka's voice so maybe its just a matter of getting used to i guess

i think it is def. different..but that just because we are used to her speaking only hindi...like when she learn english and gave her speech at sagars birthday i ws so shocked and it sounded weird...i think if we give divya's sometime her accent will grow on us...i mean we still have to see how amar will sound...he will be very different too...
