Not at all.

You just cant expect an Indian resident to have a brit accent at the drop of a hat. But she didn't go over the top with trying to make it different either, it sounded really natural.

When shes talking to herself, she sounded exactly like Katrina Kaif did in Namaste London. Katrina has lived in England for a few years (if Im not wrong). BUT Katrina herself doesn't have a british accent, so why should D learn from that character?!😕 People who thought that Katrina has a british accent need to watch the film again!

Anyway, I would have preferred it if she was from India. England ain't that great! 😛

haha.. of course her accent sounded phoney. i mean divyanka is an indian girl who was brought up in india & now she's expected to speak like a girl born & bred in london for a serial. do you expect her to perfect the londeneer accent so soon? hell.. even some people who live in london all their lives can't perfect the accent.😆😆

divyanka's is just trying to do some acting to her best capibility. i think we should appreciate it instead of finding faults with it.

maybe they should have made divyanka come from singapore instead.😛 we singaporeans definitely don't speak english/hindi/tamil with such a difficult accent.😉

instead of UK they coudl say Australia or US

Guys i think we are not liking her accent coz we have always heard her speaking hindi and dat to very shudh kind of........so we will take time to get used to her english coz its a sudden change 4m desi to western....... ⭐️

We singaporeans have like no accent at all when we speak english...and from most of the people i've heard speaking hindi its almost normal.

But of course D would have some difficulty with the accent. Like i said, its a matter of getting used to it. We were all used to Vidya's way of innocent hindi speak that now we have to adapt to Divz way of hindi/english and if you watch carefully, you can see that her voice is no longer the meek Vidya voice. Its the normal Divyanka voice

If people think Katrina had a brit accent in NL then maybe they should come over to England and actually HEAR properly and you'll realise there are so many different dialects in England. THere isn't one set accent. Because Katrina's accent was definately NOT british!!😊

yea...Divya's accent was not British..it was far from British..i think it sounded lil wierd cuz first half it was a dubbed voice..and after that it was her own voice...ppl, its just a matter of getting used to it now 😊

At first, i was shocked because I thought that it was dubbed...But then, it was her own voice...She has the sweetness in her voice that makes u wanna listen to it more!
