Part 4
So as we all now know, Vidya got the job she was looking for. As well, I didn't mention this in the previous part but she also got somewhere to stay, she bought her own apartment. Now I'm just going to take a leap of a month and half if y'all don't mind because there isn't much that I can explain in that time. So, its been about a month and half since Vidya joined the company. Everyone loves her and her dedication to the company. Saagar and Vidya get along very well, in fact they are almost like best friends now. Sometimes they'd go home together, Saagar would drop Vidya off, they'd go for lunch together sometimes, and a lot of meetings would involve the decisions made by the both of them. They were pretty comfortable around each other. lol Okay, listen to this. Since Vidya was a good employee and Saagar appreciated this, everybody thought they were dating which was why Saagar was so favourable towards Vidya. But in reality, well I shouldn't be disclosing it but anyone could tell that Saagar had started liking Vidya and Vidya had also started liking Saagar as well. But neither of them admitted it to each other.
So, if y'all remember I mentioned a character named Sameer who handled Saagar's company before he came here, and after Saagar came they became best pals? Well, Saagar and Sameer were still tight with each other, but after Saagar appointed Vidya Sameer began to get....not quite jealous, but a little envious. And remember how he always had this "unusual" thought about Vidya? Keep that in mind when reading this part. (By the way, Vidya's cabin and Sameer's cabin are almost next to each other) Vidya thinks of Sameer as a friend, but that's it. Sameer thinks of Vidya as more.
One day when Vidya was packing up to go home....Sameer enters without even knocking just casually. He has a smile on his face and his hands are in his pockets. (PS: the audience can tell he is up to something 😕)
Vidya (notices him): Oh, Hi Sameer. Ghar jaa rahein ho, kya?
Sameer: Yeah woh bus, abhi nikal hee raha tha. (Vidya gives him a friendly smile) Waise if you want, I can give you a ride home.
Vidya: No, that's okay. Saagar said he's passing by my area so he'll drop me home. But thanks for the offer anyways.
Sameer: Yeah...Saagar's dropping you?
Vidya: Yup. Koi problem?
Sameer: No no, it's just that....you know, don't you think its awkward...you're an employee, he's your boss, and you're getting favours from him almost everyday? (During all this, he's slowly walking toward Vidya who's about to leave) I mean, wouldn't it sound more usual if you were dropped home by a colleague rather, (now he is right next to her but he back is towards him) like me? (he says those last two words whispering them in her ear)
Vidya (getting mad now): What the hell do you mean?! (Vidya moves away from him putting her bag on her shoulder, she is facing him face to face now)
Sameer: Nothing Vidya.....nothing at all. Main to sirf ek achcha dost banna chahta hoon. You know...just...being....a good......friend? (He's now right in front of her again)
Vidya (moves back and starts walking towards the door): I don't need any of your stupid favours. (Before she reaches the door Sameer grabs her hand stopping her in her tracks, and pulls her closer to him. Her back is still facing him.)
Sameer: Vidya....Vidya.....galat mat samajhna mujhe....like I said....I'm just trying to help you. (He now starts twisting her wrist slightly and touches her inappropriately 😡😡 Damn you! 😆) (Vidya's eyes start brimming with tears and she closes them tightly hoping this would all end) Don't forget, princess. Even if you're taking so many favours from him, he's still your "BOSS". Tumhari jaga hamesha uski jooti ke nichche hi hogi....yaad rakhna. (your status in his eyes will still be beneath his feet, remember that)
And with that he lets go of her giving her a little shove forward. Sameer like an idiot stands there while Vidya makes her way out of her cabin with so many things going through her head. She walks down the lobby now crying intensely and arrives at the elevator. She presses the elevator button as hard as she can waiting for it to arrive. The elevator door opens and sh stomps inside without thinking twice which floor she should go to. She just presses the main floor button and proceeds. Once down there, she makes her way to the front doors and exits through them, walking just to anywhere.
Now you see her just walking and walking and walking....thinking about SOOOO many things....like What the hell was I thinking? Trying to turn an opportunity to become successful into a relationship that could possibly never exist? No Vidya, that is never happening. You can never mix your professional life with your Personal, that's what your brother always taught you right? Of course...but what really mattered? What others thought or what you feel? (She gulps) Just when I was ready to forget the past, I met Saagar. And I like him too. And then, then I finally thought that hey, maybe this relationship could lead somewhere....but I forgot the main point...what about him? Did he really feel anything for me? Or was I just someone who works for him...like Sameer said?
And all this while, she drifts on to the road where she suddenly sees big bright lights flashing in front of her. A truck comes really fast towards her and out of fear, Vidya screams as she puts both her hands in front of her face.
But guess what!! At the right moment......someone saves her and pulls her on to the side of the road, preventing an accident to occur. The person pulss her to side and holds her by her shoulders. It is Saagar! (ye well obviously! 😛)
Saagar: ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND VIDYA?! (Vidya was now in total shock and thus didn't reply) TUMHARA DIMAKH KHARAB HOGAYA HAIN? TUMHE KUCH HOJATA TO? MERA KYA - ....... (At this point, he doesn't finish his sentence and Vidya looks up at him) Let's get you home.
Precap: Saagar has a surprise planned for Vidya.
