i don't think the author meant any harm, she was just sharing her thoughts 😉

but, i respect your opinion, though i do, personally, think she wasn't being vain, just wanting love from her husband.

Well see thats my point. I personally believe thats all it was, Vidya just wanting some TLC from her husband as she has never had it b4. And plus I hear girls have vivid imaginations 😆
