Part Five – The Om

Thoughts about the wishing ponmd left, and thoughts of the stranger flooded her mind. He didn't seem to be the typical nice, normal men, nor did he have any manners, but then again those were the only kind of men she met...but somewhere inside of her she felt a wee bit glad, okay fine fully glad she had to admit, to meet someone new...She had seen the same people and avoided the same same people for six months; and it did get dull...if she didn't have Banoo to talk to or watch the kids play often, she would have definitely gone mad...

Shaking thoughts of him out of her head, she decided to go back to the palace, and get some lunch, so she got up and was walking back, when suddenly something caught her eye, it was a silver chain with an om pendant...She knelt down to pick it up and felt the cool silver against her skin..She looked at it more closely and appeared to have seen it somewhere, and then it clicked, she had seen it on a certain someone's neck, that someone who had just left, she looked around herself frantically, but the mysterious stranger was no where in sight...She figured, she would give it back to him the next time she saw him...

hey wait a minute, she was already expecting to see him again? No she didn't want to see him again right? She didn't like him, besides he made her feel weird, it felt like some blood vessels inside of her went haywire, she would also loose her breath when he was around, and her spine shivered....no, she didn't want to see him...However, she decided to keep the necklace...and walked back to the palace..

Part Five – A Heart Tugging Moment

However, she decided to keep the necklace...and walked back to the palace.. After lunch, she revisited the forbidden forest and wandered around, enjoying the cool air and the scenery around her...Once again, like a magnet drawn towards metal, she was drawn towards the wishing pond...Something about this place lifted all her sorrows out of her soul, and filled it with peace and calmness...She sat on the edge of the pond, and looked around...Tall tress surrounded her, that sort of made a shade like roof...Her eyes wandered to one particular tree...Berries were hanging from it...Just gazing at it made her mouth instantly begin to water...she wetted her lips and got up...

The berries were shiny black and plenty...Vidya excitedely began plucking berries from the tree delicately and storing them in her scarf..which had made into a sort of basket...So immersed was she in picking berries that she didn't hear the crunch of leaves and someone's warm breath breathing on her shoulders...Vidya was about to put a berry in her mouth, but suddenly a hand snatched it from her...

Stunned, and shivering a little, Vidya turned almost too quickly to see who had taken the berry...In an instant she found herself staring into those familiar smoky black eyes...The intensity of his gaze burned into her like fire into ice....He wetted his lips just slightly and said "If I were you, Iwouldn't invite myself to death's dire.." Vidya trying to regain strength in her weak knees, tried to avoid his eyes..but he didn't move back, instead he moved in closer and rested one one of his arms against the tree's bark and trapped her in between the tree and himself... "Don't you know wild berries could be poisonous, in fact these particular ones are..?" Vidya felt her pulse race faster...as a sudden warmth sparkled in his eyes...

He leaned in closer...and gently touched her cheek with one finger, and said "You must've touched your hands onto your cheek, no wonder you have a black spot on your cheek..." Vidya tilted her eyes as if to see, but obviously couldnt...so she lifted her arms after a lot of struggle, because of the lack of space...and was about to touch them onto her cheek, when he pulled them down "Do you want to get more messy? I will do it myself.." Vidya as if in a trance, just nodded...but what he did next created somersaults in her stomach and she could feel her breath in her throat...

He leaned in forward, until he was just an inch away from her, and softly kissed her lower cheek, rubbing away the bit of juice stuck to it...But as if burnt, he immediately pulled away, surprise reflected in his flaming eyes...

A thought I will leave for you all : Love doesn't know before it enters one's heart...it doesn't need nor ask permission to feel...and unlike us humans, it doesn't die a last breath...

i m impressed that u r preparing for medical. back in india, my entire family is full of doctors. great choice i must say. if i wudnt have become afraid of 10 years of studies, i also wud have been one........... 😭

aah med school does require many years of studies unfortunately and fortunately...you're lucky you have a family full of doctors, I have a family full of engineers..who wonders how the once lawyer dreamer wants to be doctor!

This trap Sagar is talking about to avenge Karthik...... is it for him to get Vidya close to him ? Matlab this affair ? is that how he will get Karthik back ? By trying to too Vidya and then.... both of them eventually falling in love with each other ?

or am i completely wrong...... 😕 😆 if you can't tell me the answer, than koi baat nahin, i love this suspense 😳
