There are some people who live life, displaying their emotions on their sleeves, while there are others who will put up a fake smile on their faces to deceive others, even if they are experiencing extreme pangs of jealously and hatred.

All this, only because they love their pride and public image way too much. Never mind even if it means swallowing their emotions.

This holds so true for our television celebrities, who often pretend like the world is their oyster, no matter how much trouble is brewing in it. The vulnerable-looking Divyanka Tripathi of Banoo Main Teri Dulhann is a perfect example of that.

When Divyanka took up the character of Vidya in Dulhann two years ago, little did she know that she would become one of the most adored soap actresses on the small screen. Her pretty face, endearing acting histrionics and of course, sizzling chemistry with co-star Sharad Malhotra made her an instant hit and favourite amongst the masses, within a short period of time.

True, her relationship with Sharad has always been a point of debate, as there are strong rumours of them being a steady couple, though neither Divyanka nor Sharad have ever admitted it. But that denial has hardly affected their popularity.

So it's a wonder that in spite of Divyanka having the best of everything on her side, she has been in the news for her lack of confidence in herself. First it was her alleged rivalry with co-star Kamya Punjabi. It's no secret that Divyanka has always been insecure about Kamya's presence in the show, though she has been the protagonist.

The two can't stand each other. In fact, when Kamya took a brief break from Dulhann, both Divyanka and Sharad were known to have welcomed that interruption and Divyanka was thrilled that now she could hog Kamya's share of the limelight too. But to her misfortune, Kamya returned to the show soon enough.

As if that wasn't enough, to make things troublesome, the creative team roped in another actress, newcomer Anisha Kapoor who was seen in Ghar Ek Sapna as Kakul and who now plays the parallel lead alongside Divyanka in Dulhann. While Divyanka had begun getting used to the idea of tolerating Kamya in the show, rumours have been abuzz that she is entirely insecure with Anisha's presence.

And Anisha's character Gauri shaping up well and receiving a lot of importance on the show is not helping Divyanka's cause in the least. Apparently, she has not only started shooting extra hours and demanded an increase in her presence in the show but has taken this rivalry personally. As if dealing with Kamya wasn't enough, now she has another headache in the form of Anisha!

But this time around, the feeling of insecurity is deeper and not only stems from the fact that Anisha has a meaty role in the show; her character also gets to romance Sharad Malhotra, much to Divyanka's dislike. This is something that not even the doe-eyed actress is ready to take lying down. Anisha poses a threat to Sharad's and Divyanka's clandestine relationship.

Also, Divyanka doesn't approve of Sharad getting friendly with Anisha. In fact, if certain reports are to be believed, Sharad completely denied doing a wedding sequence between Anisha and him and insisted that the storyline be changed. But when that couldn't be done, he reluctantly agreed to do a small make-believe wedding, with just a simple ceremony. It's not rocket science to figure out that he was reluctant to do the scene, as it would have surely ticked the already-incensed Divyanka off.

In fact, the animosity is so great, that recently, when Divyanka celebrated her birthday, she invited the entire Dulhann team for her bash. But there were two people missing – or rather not invited. One was Kamya, which comes as no surprise, considering their soured relationship. And the other was Anisha.

While everyone's mum about the spectacle talking place on the Dulhann sets, the man in the line of fire, Sharad, has been going around declaring that Divyanka is a professional and so she doesn't need to be insecure. And that all these are rumours which are most probably being spread by the channel or the production house as they want to create 'hype' around the show and get publicity. But surely Sharad know that even with the lamest excuse accepted, there is no smoke without fire.

We tried to get in touch with Divyanka, but she remained unavailable for comment. Strangely enough, her so-called rival Anisha echoed Sharad's words. When we asked her if Divyanka is 'insecure' about her, she took a very diplomatic stance. "I have also heard these rumours. But you will only get insecure about a person, if you know her. I don't think that's the case here. Divyanka hardly knows me.

Now that I am shooting with her, I can see that she is an absolutely sweet person and we are becoming friends. I think these rumours were created for publicity. As such people are against my character Gauri in the show. Maybe these rumours will help increase the TRPs. Also, I don't think there is a problem shooting with Sharad. If there was any, I would have seen some discomfort from his side."

But what about the fact that she was excluded from the birthday celebrations when the entire cast of Dulhann was present? "I wasn't invited for the party. I didn't even expect an invitation. Divyanka hardly knew me then. We had just shot together for two days before that. I didn't wish her on her birthday. Even I wouldn't invite her if I didn't know her that well," she reasons.

For now, as Anisha claims, the two are getting to know each other better. Even Divyanka isn't saying anything. The world is a strange place, where friends become enemies and bitter enemies turn friends. Perhaps on Divyanka's next birthday, we might see her celebrating it with Anisha (and maybe even Kamya!) with aplomb. You never know.

Dulhan to go off air?

After running successfully for two years, the rumours doing the rounds are that Banoo Main Teri Dulhan (Zee TV) will soon wrap up due to its low TRPs. And if this happens, Kamya Punjabi, one of the actors on the show, says its through no fault of Dulhan's hardworking actors.

According to a source, "The show has not been doing well for quite some time now, especially after Sindoora's death. In fact, that is when ratings started dipping badly. She was even made to come back because of this. So if her comeback doesn't work, there are high chances of the show shutting down soon."
Producer Neelima, however, rubbished these rumours, saying , "No, this is not true. In fact, we're lined up with many episodes. We haven't been told anything by the channel either."

It is speculated that Dulhan will be replaced by Jhansi ki Rani, an upcoming show which will occupy the 8:00pm slot. Ajay Balwankar, programming head of Zee, says, "Till now, nothing has been decided. As far as Jhansi Ki Rani is considered, its time slot has not been finalised."

Kamya Punjabi who plays the wicked Sindoora, however, didn't seem shocked when we asked her about the show going off air. She says, "As of now toh I am unaware about this but I won't be surprised if tomorrow I get a confirmation for it. The channel is not promoting the show properly… they are not cooperating at all."

The actress is very disappointed. She adds, "We four (Sharad, Divyanka, Mohit and I) are working day and night for our show but what is the channel doing? It is very upsetting when you are working hard but the channel does not do its job."

Sindoora was brought back on Dulhan to up ratings but this too doesn't seem to be working. To this, Kamya says, "I don't agree that Sindoora alone has something to do with the ratings. It's basically the trio (Sindoora-Amar-Divya) who are important for the show to be successful. Sindoora can't exist without Amar and Divya and vice versa. Most importantly, the channel should realise that just taking Sindoora to Kohlapur won't work. They need to make other efforts as well."

According to her, many people don't even know that Sindoora is back on the show. She recalls an incident, saying, "A few days ago, a family came up to me on the sets and told me that they are fans of mine. I was shocked when they told me 'hum Sindoora ko bahot miss karte hain, aap waapas ka baa rahe ho show mein!' I was literally stunned to tell them that it's been a week since I returned."

She agrees that other shows like Balika Vadhu have taken the audience's attention away from her own and she feels that efforts need to be taken. She says, "Divyanka has been not well but is still shooting 24/7. Even yesterday, we shot from 9am to 2am. Forget about shooting the promos separately, they are not even showing episode promos!"

The actress even spoke to the channel about this before reentering the show. "The channel and our producer promised me that they would promote Sindoora's comeback. Sharad and I spoke to the production people recently too but now, when I realised that nothing is being done, I gave up," says Kamya.

She says that Dulhan is a part of her life but at the same time she would be prepared if it is shown the exit door. "All I can say is that if tomorrow the show is pulled off or is shifted to some other time slot, the channel is to be blamed and not the actors."

Well, the verdict has changed now!! And in place of Dulhann, it will be Kasamh Se bidding farewell next week. Also, Saath Phere gets a time slot change.. Get it all exclusive on Telly Buzz..

Well, we can now say that Zee TV has rewritten history as they have reconsidered the decision of closing Shakuntalam Telefilms' Banoo Main Teri Dulhann, and have now decided to wind up another prime time show in place of Dulhann.

So the cast and crew of Dulhann can get a smile back on their faces, as they stay on to fight the TRP race. According to our reliable source, "This decision to reconsider the axing of Dulhann was taken yesterday, and the channel heads met again today to take their final call on the show that will now be taken off".

Well, the verdict has come out and it is Telly Buzz giving you exclusive news, that Balaji Telefilms' long-running show Kasamh Se will be the one to kick the bucket next week.

According to our reliable source, "Dulhann will now continue to air at the existing time slot of 8 PM. Kasamh Se which is now aired at 9 PM will now be going off air on March 13th. Saath Phere, produced by Sphere Origins will see a time slot change, and will be moved to the 9PM slot in place of Kasamh Se. This will pave way for the new Swastik Pictures show, Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Ki Jo to take the 9.30 PM slot from March 16th".

We tried calling Sunjoy Wadhhwa to confirm the time slot change of Saath Phere, but he was unavailable for comments.

We also tried to talk to Shyamashis Bhattacharya, Producer of Dulhann to get a confirmation from him of Dulhann staying on, but he too was unavailable.

However, our source confirms that the decision of the channel is now final and Kasamh Se will go off air, Saath Phere will continue with a time slot change while the luckiest of all will be Dulhann which will go on to fight another battle!!

For the uninitiated, it was just two days back when the entire unit of Dulhann was informed by the channel of their show winding up. Even Shyamashis Bhattacharya had sent us a text message then, confirming that Dulhann is going off air. But now, tables have turned, and this is the fact!!

Well, for all the 'Tu Tu Main Main' that has taken place to arrive at this decision, we can only say, 'This happens only in GEC's''.
