great update sonali...Amar knows the truth...can't wait till they meet..
Please note: Rajeev did not marry Chandra according to my story
Rajeev explained how he escaped from his near death experience and what had transpired before and during Amar and Divya's wedding. Then Divya explained what had happened in Singh Mansion and how Amar had turned cruel and lent a deaf ear whenever she tried to tell him the truth.
Gaytari sighed.
' Beta before anything gets better it gets worse. You always had trouble removing the blind fold from Sagar's eyes and now as Divya you have done the right thing. Hopefully Amar's eyes open up sooner than when he was Sagar,' she quipped.
In the days to come they all settled into a routine. Rajeev would go to the office to handle the business that Divya's parents had left behind. She used to have a manager to do everything but since her father-in-law was here he could handle things now. The manager was delighted to do something different and readily gave the responsibilities to Rajeev.
Divya decided to not wear her manglasutra.
Rajeev glanced at her that morning quite surprised.
' Beta tumari..,' he trailed off
Divya revealed it in her hand.
' Rajeev Uncle can you keep this until Amar comes?,' she inquired.
He looked back at her puzzled.
' But why are you giving me this. Why don't you keep it on?,' he stated.
Divya looked down solemnly.
' I don't feel like a wife, but I guess you are right. Just because Amar has forgotten the meaning of this mangasutra doesn't mean I should,' she stated firmlu.
Gaytari put a assuring hand on her arm.
' Today you have that interview for that internship. Cheer up, he will come here for you when the time is right,' she stated.
Divya nodded thoughtfully and they continued breakfast.
Meanwhile Amar tried to keep himself busy with work while he awaited news about Divya. Chintu didn't know much just said he saw someone like Rajeev with her in the taxi.
Amar told him it was probably someone else. Rajeev, his biological father couldn't be alive. Suddenly a light bulb struck him. He had searched Divya's room but not Samrat's room. They used to be friends, he may have some contact information lying around.
He glanced at the clock, it was 5:30, by now Chintu would be home from tutions. He quickly called his brother.
' Hey Chintu, tum ne Samrat ke kamre mein dekha? Ok make sure Badi Mom is out. Oh she is at a party meeting? Ok good, start looking, I'll be home in some time,' Amar stated.
He sat back in his chair hoping something could be found. He gathered up his things and rushed out of the building.
Amar got a call suddenly from a building inspector from one of the new projects. He had to turn around and go back.
He got there and rushed up the stairs. The building inspector needed some forms to be signed. Amar read through them carefully remembering Divya's words.
'Whatever you do it with care and I am sure one day you'll be very successful.'
He smiled recalling that memory. He brushed off the inquiries from those around him. He walked over to the lift. Lost in his thoughts he didn't realize he was in trouble until the lift kept going and started to speed up.
He yelled an agonizing scream as the lift crumbled to the ground.
Meanwhile, Divya was grabbing her afternoon snack when she suddenly felt pain all over her body. Her thoughts went to Amar. Was he all right?
