FIGHT! FIGHT! FIIIIIGGGGGHHHHHTTTTT!! 🤣
The CVs have certainly accomplished what they set out to do if all they wanted was to drive us all into a frenzy.
Ok, I've thought it over and I think if Rudr is acting on his own, he must be a very clever psycho because he unerringly zeroed in on DM's greatest insecurity ie that he did Santu an injustice by staying married to her.
And now that I've had some sleep, I think I have a sort of academic interest in seeing how DM will deal with his wife's innocence. I don't think a simple "sorry" is going to cut it this time and I don't think his usual "how can I look you in the face? come give me a punishment" routine is going to work either.
That said...
While I usually think Santu and DM are equally at fault and have been since the end of the Bacteria track, this time, in this particular instance, it is entirely and most definitely DM's fault. 👎🏼
Let us assume that DM is doing this as a trap for Rudr. (Let me be clear I dont think anything of the sort after hearing his statement to Monghi) If he couldn't support her in public but knew she was innocent, it would take a monster to have turned away from poor baby Santu as she sat in her room when they had their eyelock. She'd just gone through an extremely traumatic experience, felt betrayed by the man she worshiped, she was mourning the death of her marriage and herself - and DM just walked off without a single word to her?
If that's the case he is a horrible person. And nothing can be done. Get off my TV, you jerk! 😡
Second, let us assume DM is actually confused, Rudr's words have struck a chord and he is conflicted. This to me is actually a lot more understandable. I hate that he did it and Sanraj is definitely dead and gone as far as I'm concerned, but I can see how it happened. What really kills it for me is that Santu said "the truth is whatever maalik says it is". That's a huge statement for anybody to make, but here Santu was trusting her freaking honor to DM's hands. And he not only dropped it but then stomped on it and ground it into the dirt. Even if he honestly thought Santu had done all those things, after she said that to him, he should have kicked Rudr out simply for humanity's sake and upheld her honor in public. If he had doubts, he could have talked to her in private and hashed it out. He needn't even have beat up Rudr, just asked Hiten to throw him out. It is what he would have done for one of his daughters - why not his wife?
[and now BUMTRINKET IS ANGRY once more! Grrr. 😡]
And I also think that people get second chances and sometimes relationships rebound from a tragedy better than they were before.
It's personally never happened to me, but still... 😆
However, this ruins the fantasy. It's one thing if DM was super jealous and staking claim. That's hot. But DM playing ghisa pita Ram to Santu's "nahin! yeh sun ne se pehle main mar kyon nahin gayi?" Sita is blah.
