Yes ita lifetime commitment and can be successful with mutual understanding, respect and trust for each other.. age should not be a factor, when you are sincerely into a relationship.

fuzz you refuse marriage now coz you haven't find the " one" yet ..once you met him your whole perspective of marriage & commitment will change & you'll be willing to😳 ...
i hate the very idea of me being married one day for the same " commitment" thing but deep down in my heart i know that i hate the concept coz i'm just thinking of it ..i need to live it to accept it & ofcours that demands the right person - yes he must be older than me , no i don't want a 60ish man!! i'm not that desperate 🤔- ......

I wont say that age is completely meaningless.I would not go looking for a much older man when its time to get married, but if i do find myself in love with someone like that, then age will not be a factor which holds me back from being with him.The same applies if the guy is younger.Society's POV about younger guys may vary. Its more a matter of the heart than just tradition. Our elders say that 5-10 years of age difference is ideal, and i agree completely.

But yes, marriage is the most wonderful thing to happen,if you find the right one,and have realistic expectations. Its not a stormy passionate relation that matters, its completely opposite. Its more peaceful, and secure. That sense of security and faith.I believe this is possible in any marriage, age no bar.

Love is love. It exists and survives regardless of the age difference between two people who are truly and deeply in love. Unfortunately, there are many misconceptions on the part of those who do not understand how relationships such as these could possibly be lasting and successful. People automatically assume that there must be something wrong with those who are not deterred by age when entering into a romantic relationship.( an example from Bandini was DM himself, if you remember back to the episode where Santu asks for nyay DM thinks about the age differences and also expresses that.. Another time the age was raised was at Vanraj's place and DM felt bad.)

When it comes to marriage there are so many other factors that need to taken into account like intellectual understanding..
Santu was very mature at the time she married DM so their relationship worked but realistically with the age gap portrayed them, the couple would not survive as there understanding of worldly issues would differ. One partner would suggest the other was too childish.. I mean look how many times in the beginning of SanRaj's relationship DM mentioned that Santu is so young so she doesn't understand. Even when Santu ran to the hospital to get a hysterectomy I rememeber DM saying to Subhi's portrait 'Kaam Umar Ki Hai na? shocking but true..

I don't think there's a set age difference - it varies through life. For instance, a seventy year old and a fifty five year old are going to attract a lot less negative attention than a 16 year old and a 31 year old, but the age difference is the same.

So although age is but a number it does however make a difference and but it depends on other factors not just age to determine whether age gap would be okay or not..
It sounds confusing but hope you understand what i mean.. 😃
