OK, first of all this is a drama so that is why I have made suggestions which may seem outrageous to people who are ardent fans of the show, but for me I'm able to think that you can't get so attached to a piece of fiction to the extent that an alternate viewpoint cannot be accepted.
If it was a real-life situation I perfectly understand the need for sensitivity, but surely not for a drama? Which is why the intensity of feeling (though kept under wrap by most) I find here quiet literally scares me. I have favourite shows, bandini used to be one, but i've never felt such passion for it that I took personal offence if someone else said something different about it. Guess thats something I've just discovered.
And to console you, what I've said will most likely never come true...think of it as fan fiction if that helps
so CLEARLY many of you have picked up one the one small comment I made that DM 'might have to die' in order for shashank and Santu to be together - which if you enalysed properly you would realise that clearly santu could never marry and would never marry anyone else if DM was alive as she loves him. So, no worries, I haven't asked Ekta to kill DM off LOL
And the stepmother issue. Sure people can accept a younger mother (though I've never seen it happen naturally). As in the drama kids have to accept such a situation because it has been forced on them, 'usually' by a lecherous father. Though 'yes I know DM is NOT lecherous, and there could be places in the world where a non-lecherous relationship exists.
BUT the reason I don't like the idea is because men tend to marry a younger wife in order to 1) show that they are powerful and still virile say after the death of their wife 2) even when wife is alive they go and marry a child-bride too incense their wives. We seemen have affairs with younger girls in similar style.
So you can see my reasoning behind why I don't 'like' the idea. I won't use a stronger expression.
and the stuff about knowing about love and HItmi and the difference between passinate love and longtime love. let me just say I don't see this drama in any way to be very realistic, so i dn't think Ekta was showing realism by toral hiten love, I think it was simply another wreck of a tv love, that we've seen repeatedly, where they set up a couple's love story through countless 'destined 2 be together' scenes, extensive love scenes etc then destory it utterly. e.g. KT/Laksh. That is why I find the toral story annoying, not becasue i have the wrong idea of love, and goodness knows what else.
I just hate writers hooking people onto stories and then destroying them.
I hope you realise that I see Bandini as a drama and critique is as a piece of drama and thats it. that's why I made funny/unlikley suggstions because in drama anything can happen and nothing needs a moral/ethical/spiritual rationale, as we've seen. when writers want to thay make the impossible seem heroic and possible its all fiction and fantasy.
Anyways i don't know what else to say except don't worry I have no personal contact with ekta, and DM is not going to die! 😉 😆
