Love the pair, and how he grew to respect her etc. What I loved about this relationship was a growing respect that Dm had for a lower cast/poor girl- that development. Rather than accepting her as a wife angle.I liked him realising her intelligence in spite of being young and scared, but having such courage and endurance. I liked him realising he was unjust towards her because he married her then treated her as a servant. That's why i loved the part when he said she should marry someone her own age, showing how considerate he was.What I can't be happy with is that she is /was 18, him over 40 atleast as has 20+ kids.A stepmother should never be younger than the children - its not right.Sorry to use the word paedophilia, sorry to upset you guys, but I was trying to give you a sense of the reason why i can't accept a sexual relationship. i see SAN/RAJ as mentor/mentee rather than lovers.
Ok Moonstruck! I applaud you for thinking differently and accepting other people's view points with dignity. For that i think you should post more on the forum. Healthy arguments and alternate views are always the way to banter and grow. I always stress to many people on the forum that everyone is entitled to his/her opinion on a particular subject. I have underlined two points in this post which i want to discuss. Otherwise i think all your views are a personal interpretation and thats fine by me.
1. The world presents itself in many shades of the same colour and what a person percieves the colour to be is dependent on several variables. It is the same with relationships which tend to meander between white, black and grey again based on variables like age, state of mind etc.
To state emphatically that second "love" is an unthinkable phenomenon is utopia. What is "love" for you Moonstruck. That which begins as an acquaintance, progresses on to a deep friendship and then culminates in (hopefully) a long and healthy relationship? Or is it a terribly passionate encounter that peaks and plateaus after a while?
You would agree that we outgrow friends, and make new ones with some very meaningful contributions and influences along the way. We sometimes move on to make new friends? So what is wrong in a second relationship when the first has ended/been forced to terminate?
2. A stepmother is a woman who marries a man who already has children. Now at what point the second/third marriage occurs is again dependent on several variables. Companionship is important for any human regardless of age. So age itself is only a number that you count off every year but a person is as young as he/she feels at heart. It is according to me irrelevant to really abhor a situation where the stepmother is younger than her husband's children. The situation is not ideal but does happen sometimes even today. It is the dynamics between the wife and the children that will determine the success of this marriage.
Hope you are fine after all the armed attacks. Just laugh it off!
For the Sanraj lovers, i dont think that Moonstruck's post should activate the nuclear bomb and i dont think the post was written with the intention to "garner support" against Bandini or any such thing. I think it is in good spirit that we all learn to read and accept other people's points of view with objectivity and open mindedness. I have come to notice that there are some people in this forum who immediately take offence when someone else's POV does not match theirs.
If you are all looking for "yes men" here, the forum is not healthy.
