Ekta mata wanted it to be a real twist. Pinu was her man because he is the most trusted member in DM's office and in his life. Pinu goes to Antwerp, Pinu books tickets for "hunymun", Pinu is his right hand man. What else, Pinu would be the last member that anyone would suspect.

He also has children so they'll also be back to trouble the Mahiyavanshis - Maulik needs a vamp, Birwa has to get her heart broken, Suraj needs a girlfriend, etc and Virat's kids are out of it because they're related and AC's one and only has already had his shot 😆

It might actually be good for Sanjay Nath aka Pinu kaka....as a villain he would have a more meaty role than as DM's right-hand man when he had hardly anything to do than standing in the background and having a few dialogs here and there....as a villain he might get more scope to display his acting chops.
