Pls stop violence in Bandini

Hi everyone,
I don't know if you share the same feeling I have, especially after yesterday's episode. It's really horrible and sad to see people from so-called lower caste/lower class being treated so badly in this serial. Millions watch this on TV and it might be easily misinterpreted, especially teenagers and kids. They may assume that it is o.k to treat servants like that.

We have seen Santo disrobed, Shambu almost dipped into boiling oil, Khemi slapped, little Moonghi being told her sister was bought for a price.... How much more are we to see?

Pls stop such verbal/physical abuse. There are ways to show enmity and hatred by one character for another without actually being graphic!

Is there no law in India which would prevent people from showing such scenes on TV/film? Or are we supposed to take all this in the name of 'reality'? Come on... we know there is not much reality in TV shows anyway! So why get real only about violence?

Thanks for opening this topic TVrasika. I was thinking on posting something on same lines.

What they are showing is very negative Moti has no right to treat people like mud. Infact what is the so called just malik doing about it. People needs to retaliate I just didnt get the logic of Moti slapping Khemi.

I think they should stop this ranting of choti jaat time and again by moti. SHe is actually getting over the top. Has nothing much to do in the show as of now but roam around slapping people calling them low caste how sick can it get.

😲 rasika u can't be more rgt over this , its so neagative fro lil ones who w/o understanding the mental assault sometimes laugh over her bytchy antics , ( my kids r very young (8&6) n don't understand hindi very well , they sometime laugh just seeing her furious n all but its all so disgusting like pulling hair of servant s like chapakali n shambu n even santu n treating them like dirt , where as here in europe they r taught to be polite to household aids n lesser fortunate ones , n i m sure they will ask me soon , if this meanness continues , that mom do indians treat their maids n servants like this , which is simply nonexistent in punjab , i dunno abt gujrat , kindly do something to bring this in notice of creatives n hence put to stop immidiately

yes i agree with you all the way. ok the show is based in a village which is ok you can say the caste system is apart of the theme of the program but i agree with you. there is no need to show such things so graphically. if its part of the story line or the character we can all understand that without it being illistrated so much. there is no need to show such senes that can offend people..things can be more or less hinted if needs be but showing it well that dosnt have to be done. i also to think it has a bad impact on younger viwers. bandini is a brillant soap and can be improved if they were to show things in a more possitive light. making the point that this kind of behaviour is improper..they should forcus on making that point insead of soley abuse. dms character should make a point of stopping such abuse and showing things in the right light. as for the whole gujrat subject..my family are from gujrat and no people are not treated like this there..i have many a times visited india and gujrat and if i had witnessed such a thing i would be disgusted so i mean i can see it is only fictionial but even so it still can have an impact.
i think showing santu disrobed was to its limits..i was shocked that it would go that far and still there is no objection or revalation to it in the storyline. ok think i have made my point clear..love bandini as a show but also want my view known ..abuse i guess is real and apart of the real world but theres no need to show it with such boldness and atleast make a possitve point of it ...to stop it and set a good example instead of having repeated violance....

I totally agree with you razika , yesterday scene was the top of the top , it was so disgusting
I agree such treatment exists in real life but I don't think TV should show it with such violence , at least not without showing a solution to it at the same time , like DM harshly repremanding his sister for what she did

😡 i think creatives got carried away by award to that bulldozer character n thus added slapping , pulling hair n threatening to put boiling oil to face ; all to add glory of meanness of that negative character , CREATIVES PLS STOP IT U HV KIDS TOO SEEING THIS N HOUSEHOLD HELPS TOO
