What I wish to see

I wish DM overhears Shanks confession to Santo.
It will make this guy do some serious retrospection as to what he has done to this poor innocent girl's life.
He was the one who arranged for the marriage with that worker.
He was the one who decided to marry her when she was ditched.
He was the one who ignored her and treated her like dirt .
He was the one who accused her for all the wrongs his family were doing.
So will he now let her find some happiness in the one man who trully loved her as she was?
Meghana already loves her so will gladly accept her as her bahu.
As far as his own daughter is concerned he cannot selfishly hope that Shanks should sacrifice his love for her.
If the guy has any sense of fairness then he would volunteer to step aside and set Santo free for he never ever whole heartedly gave her the right to be his wife.
When he volunteers to do so Santo will then tell him that she wants to stay married to him not because she is forced to but because she wants to.
This will be the beginning of their relationship. It will also give the respect for DM which seems to have been eroded by his own doings in the past few days.
My only problem what will become of Shanks? Can he accept Santo as his mother-in-law after seeing her in a romantic light? It would be better if Kaddu is married to someone else and Duggu gets a really nice girl.
I also want to see Meghana adopt Khemi when she comes to know of Hiten-Khemi. This way the society cannot fault an alliance between them as Khemi will be from the house of Rasik and Meghana and not from Nanaji's house (thanks tvrasika for this solution). I know this is taking advantage of a socitel loop hole but if the societal norms are wierd enough to accept an 18-50 match and not a match between people of suitable age and mindset just because of some twisted relations which make Khemi Hiten's massi, then the same societal rules have to be used to ensure they get together too by making Khemi Meghana's adoptive daughter (who gets all the rights of a real daughter).

Wholeheartedly agree with everything. Time for DM to prove that he is the fair and just man that he claims to be. Hopefully when he hears of Shanky's pure love for Santo, he will realise she is a woman deseving of the same love and respect and honour that he wants for his daughter. He did not endear himself to me in last night's episode. He completely failed to remember that Santo initially tried to warn him about Kaddu and Sandy when she found them in Kaddu's room and he refused to hear a word against Subhi's daughter. When it comes to Santo, DM continuously proves to be hyprocratical. He really needs to do someting big to redeem himself here.
As for Hiten & Khemi loved the solution. I don't want Santo & Khemi's relationship changed or diminished in order for Khemi to marry Hiten. In this way you're just counteracting one meaningless, contrived relationship with another meaningless, contrived relationship. Aaah, didn't they look like the perfect couple as they stood side by side watching the drama unfold. Khemi with her long open hair and Hiten in his Indian clothes. But they also proved to be perfectly ineffectual in the face of DM & Taru's tirades. 😕

Hi opti (If I may call you so) I am Ranjna. I loved the way you have written the post Khemi Hitena Massi the thought is quite funny but yes on the other hand a serious matter as far as the show is concerned. Infact I would likt to see everything you have written and along with that would like to see DM finally realising that Santu is his wife and he has a right over her. Which might happen after Shanky confesses his live for her. (should be enough to sitr him). As per the promo I am sure Shanky's confession will cause trouble to Santu some how. May be DM repriminds her or worse Moti instigates him (none of her business though) and in that situation for once I want Santu to stand up to DM for her rightful place, And also to remind him of how he is very bothered about his dead woves feelings and emitions and doesn't worry about the one who is alive. I want to see Santu's and Kuddus bonding now. Kuddu might not be able to treat her like her mom but can definitely bond like friends.
I want to see Moti changed and not punished. Her character is shown to be harsh but at the same time good at heart. She once listening to Santu's words did cry.
The list is long may will write more later.
Thanks for maing this post.

Opti,
I agree with you completely. I am very upset with the writers of this show. They cannot name the main character 'Dharamraj' and show him continuosly slipping in his dharm when it comes to his wife.

The writers also need to make Santo's character strong. They have depicted as a weak, sometimes stupid girl. Would anyone try to handle such a big issue all on her own? How could she have hoped to prevent Kaddu from eloping, when she knows Kaddu does not give a damn for her or even for her father!

The reason I suggested the solution of adoption for Khemi is because I think that's better than the usual 'Santo and Khemi are not sisters' track we have seen in many serials.

I want DM to hear Duggu confess his love for Santo and behave even more stupidly and blame Santo for spoiling his daughter's marriage. That will be the last straw and Santo will not take it anymore. She will leave his house, after telling him she never loved Duggu and only wanted love from DM! DM will be ashamed and remoreseful and realise what he has done. He has spoilt the chances of happiness Santo could have got from Duggu or from someone else. And he has denied her the respect she could have got as his wife.

Yesterday, DM fell majorly in my eyes and in the eyes of many in the audience. He seriously has to do some major repair. Otherwise, we are going to be left with no choice but to hate DM and love Santo. Which will be ridiculous!

The blame for yesterday's episode goes squarely to the writers! DM asking Santo 'you hav reduced my family's reputation to mud'!!! What a joke! His daughter tried to elope, not his wife! 😡

TV rasika, I wouldn't blame the writers of the show for last night's episode. That is how they have portrayed DM so far. The guy is pompous and feels that he is some great holder of justice but has time and time failed. Take for instance marrying Santo for his own personal gains and then trying to stash her away in the Surat guest house. If Virat had not brought her home, how long was Santo to be in that guest house? I think forever. Later when she was stashed away in the store room, did he question about it? No he pretended she did not exist. He put up a front for Saumil bhai and his friends Meghana and Rasik, living like a hypocrite. He cares more for appearances although he is not as bad as his sister. He has mostly treated Santo with disdain, pouncing on her on the first availbale opportunity. So he showed his true colours yesterday too, turning the tables at Santo for his own daughter's mistakes. He wants Santo to behave honourably when his own daughter did not care two hoots about family honour. He wanted her to tell him. Even if she did would he have believed her? Did we not see him blindly defend his daughter and shut her up before? So DM's actions yesterday did not shock me. The guy has a lot of redeeming to do.
I feel Hiten has much more strength of character than his father. If he accuses Santo of spoiling her daughter's happiness that would be the height of stupidity. In that case she should have encouraged Kaddu to run off with Sandy so that she herself can carry on with Shanks. Here she is the one who brought her back to the mandap. So there is no way he can doubt her integrity. And he dare not act as the jealous husband. I will not have any respect if he does. So far whatever he has done was because of this false sense of pride. But trying to act jealous over a woman he treated worse than a servant will be the heights. He better be repetent and try to give her up although she will not give him up no matter what. That is the only way I can respect him.

Yes, you can call me Opti, Ranjana. I sincerely wish that DM does not reprimand Santo or try to act likre a possessive husband now. He has no right to act as one. He has never given Santo the right to be his wife wholeheartedly. It is only for appearances sake he has accepted her at times but was always quick to point out what she meant to him, nothing but a 'chokri'. So now turning around and acting like a possessive husband does not sit well. Moreover, it still remains a fact that he is nearly three times as old as Santo. So any move from him would look gross to me. So I want Santo to open up to him first and say that she wants to be with him. He can then slowly warm up to her.

Thanks Opti,
I agree with you an act of possessive ness will be very odd that too from DM after the way he has treated Santu. But I feel that after knowing the truth he might not act posessive but he will definitely be affected.

Opti,
I see your point... Being 'possessive' and 'jealous' may not go well with the audience, after we were shown DM throwing his wife out of his house, and calling her low-caste etc...

Wat we should be shown instead is a 'confused' DM. I would like to see him question what Santo means to him. Is she his wife? Does he like her? Does he respect her? Does he acknowledge that in spite of being repeatedly treated like dirt, she has tried her utmost to help him with his children?

I would like DM to become more introspective... So far, DM has been shown to think less and act fast, and usually act in a rash manner. That's no way to depict a strong character like DM. RR is such a fabulous actor. To make him look like an idiot is unfair. Let us see DM struggle more... not cry, but struggle and ask himself whether he deserves love from someone like Santo.

Yes, DM needs to do a lot of introspection and soul searching. He better genuinely apologise to Santo for treating so badly. Just tying the knot does not end there. He has a responsibility as a husband which he cannot ignore, however inconvenient it is for him. As he is unable to forget his dead wife, he is unable to fulfil his role as a husband. So he better attempt to give her up to Shanks for her happiness. Anything less than that would not redeem him for me. Ofcourse Santo is not going to accept his offer. That will make him see her in the new light and hopefully the guy then warms up to her and bids his Shubi a final good bye.

Hi opti , I'm manel ,
I like all what you wrote in this thread so far , but what I want to see is santu leaving the mahiyawanshi's house , eventhough she reveals her feelings to DM and refuses to go with shanky , I want her to leave the house back to her nanaji's house or maybe to her aunts house ( where khimi went in the first days of hiten's punishment ) , I want DM to be confused about her but I want him to feel his need for her and her presence in his life , then he will try to appologize in a clear way and not like he did the last time
