nope sukhi i didnt misinterpret ur post.......... i was just sayin that even in this case dm didnt even have a sense of being sorry let alone sayin sorry...........on the contrary he taana maaro on santo ......i mean i know he is egoistic and alll tht crap...................but doesnt santo realize that whenver dm needs her she is expected to behave like a wife and at other times she is not even considered a living object.......

Your question is valid. But I have long given up hope of television as being the medium to depict women's empowerment in India... It's not films, it's not TV, it's not literature as far as I know... so women have to empower themselves on their own!

Also, from what I gather from this forum and from other sources online, Kekta or other producers were not exactly depicting liberal views about women in urban areas. Their concept of empowerment only goes to the extent of sleeveless blouse and what not! Or the 'loose, evil woman', not a strong woman, rooted in her mileu, ..

Why r we making a big deal of it? I think Santo will eventually be able to stand up to DM, I am sure of it. She is not gonna just sit there and cry and tolerate his mean attitude towards her. But it will take time, it's like we want the story to end in a month or so

That is because of DM and Santo's conflicting interests at the moment ..sure Santo's unwaivering interest lies in having a happy marriage but DM is unclear .. and that is the reason behind his irratic behaviour otherwise DM is a very fair man =)
